The responsibilities of this role are as follows:

• Leads the generation, curation and the data acquisition process for the data that supports the platform marketing investment.
• Attain required expertise in all databases that house data for the sales & marketing platform (SAP, SFDC, PIM, VeeVa are examples)
• Attain a thorough knowledge of all BD processes for governing marketing data.
• Collaborating closely with cross functional users such as Sales, Marketing. Commercial Excellence and IT to understand data requirements, identifying opportunities to improve data collection process, data quality and analytical capabilities to drive business growth and efficiency.
• Partner with TGS for evaluation of innovative technologies and tools for data management and visualization
• Ensures quality, reliability & Data Mesh policy compliance.
• Responsible for documenting Data Products, business rules and training materials through the Marketplace
• Lead / Co lead and acting as subject matter expert for Master Data Management Tool (Tool that house data) implementation initiative
• Any other task assigns to support region business project / initiative as assigned.

• Ability to recognize process improvement opportunities around data generation, entry and curation and elevate those opportunities to data management.
• Understanding of data concepts, including data types, structure, and analytics techniques
• Familiarity with relevant tools and technologies for data analysis, visualization, and product development
• Understanding the methodologies used to manage and execute projects (Agile and Scrum Methodologies)
• Ability to complete defined tasks autonomously with diligence and work accuracy.

Collaboration:

• Works cross-functionally across the organization to ensure user experience of our on-line catalog and other sources of product information is “best in class.”
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather input for the product marketing data.
• Work with other data stewards and data governance professionals from other departments and functions within the organization and represent the interests of platform marketing.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing, Data Analytics or Technology relevant discipline
• Strong experience within a data environment and a clear passion for data
• Preferred -- Minimum 5 years of experience managing data assets and/or business/ functional operational knowledge.
• Industry experience in biotech, pharma, or health tech/digital health is preferred but not required.
• Familiar with technology tool support business/ data management operation (e.g., SAP, Analytics tool, Sales Force, PIM) and Product Management tool (e.g., JIRA) and data pipeline process will be added advantage.
• Project Management experience and Six Sigma preferred
• Good command of English, and other relevant language preferred (Chinese, Japanese or Korean)
• Good teamwork attitude and ability to work with ambiguity.

How will you fulfill your potential?

• As part of the Equities Technology team you will be responsible for designing and implementing the firm’s strategic vision for the Equities technology stack

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in computer science or engineering
• 1 year of experience developing large-scale applications, ideally in Java/ C++

• Strong knowledge of object oriented programming, data structures, algorithms and design patterns
• Experience with distributed, event driven systems and using messaging protocols
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience working with end users

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the financial industry and an aptitude to learn
• Cross platform desktop applications development experience
• Experience building applications on Linux
• Experience in project management at a basic level

What you’ll do

The Financial Reporting team strives to be Marketing's centre of excellence for efficient and effective Record to Report (RTR) processes while driving optimization on processes & implementing robust controls to capture accurate business and financial information in accordance and within the framework of accounting policies across all commodities in Marketing entities.

Reporting to the Team Lead – Financial Reporting, the Analyst supports the Accountant in performing the month-end closing and financial reporting activities for the Platinum businesses and works closely with other stakeholders to support the timely delivery of quality data within agreed timelines.

From time to time, the Analyst may be involved in ad hoc finance projects and business initiative and represent Finance Reporting team in providing input to enable the capturing of accurate business and financial information for the RTR processes and will also work closely with Information Management Department to deploy technology to automate finance activities.

Lastly, the Analyst plays an integral role in supporting a continuous improvement culture within Finance.

KEY TASKS

Drive efficient and effective Financial Reporting

· The Analyst helps to drive the engine room of the Finance Reporting team, making sure that transactions are appropriately accounted for, perform month end tasks and reconciliations, and duly reported. All this will need to be done within the framework of our financial controls and accounting policies, and the role works closely with Risk, Group Shared Services and the wider Finance teams to formulate, implement and operate robust controls and ensure documentation of key processes within Financial Reporting.

Deliver on-demand information

· The role plays a key role in making information available on-demand to support commercial decisions and new business initiatives. It works closely with the Finance Business Partners and other stakeholders around the group to determine data requirements and is responsible for managing the systems and processes to capture and deliver them as efficiently and accurately as possible.

· Supports coordination and collection of performance information from all relevant sources and delivering Monthly Financial Statements and other regular information as required by the Marketing Business, Production Business Units or Group Finance.

· Manages information through relevant systems, ensuring that data interfaces lead to traceable, reconcilable and well-supported financial information.

· Works with the Business Partnering and Corporate teams to design and implement the technical accounting logic to align data streams with business activities from performance and financial reporting perspectives.

Technology transformation

· Working closely with Information Management (IM), the role looks to implement technologies that improve control, increase information available for the business and automate transactional activity as much as possible, freeing up the team to add value elsewhere. It needs to think differently about the work Finance does and how it gets done, including the elimination of manual journals and recons as a cost to quality.

· As we implement new systems, the role needs to establish appropriate processes for defining user needs and managing UAT for the Finance department, ensuring that accounting logic and financial controls are appropriately captured.

Continuous improvement

· Create ways to measure and manage how well we perform as a team. Amongst the team, this role creates a culture that actively looks to improve workflows and processes, minimizing control weaknesses while increasing speed and accuracy.

· Optimise links between SAP, Aspect, HFM, Blackline and other systems to ensure information is available as and when required.

· Design and improve processes around the systems to streamline efforts required to input and extract data.

· Drive standardisation and automation of processes via continual improvements.

Learning & development

· Proactively engage on learning and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for

· Undergraduate degree in Accountancy or business-related subject.

· Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills

· Familiar with financial accounting systems such as SAP/Blackline/Hyperion will be a plus

· Hands on experience in performing financial reporting and month end closing activities in an MNC setting

· Prior knowledge working in commodity industry will be a plus

· Familiar with using trading systems (Aspect) will be highly regarded

· Good interpersonal skills and strong team player

· Possess strong financial and analytical skills and attention to detail

· Ability to deal with some ambiguity in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment and willingness to challenge status quo and explore new ways of working

· Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma would be advantageous.

· Familiar with collaborative and innovative ways of working such as Agile would be advantageous.
