POSITION OVERVIEW : System Engineer(AWS)

POSITION GENERAL DUTIES AND TASKS :
Role and Responsibilities

Responsible for day-to-day operational activities in TRUST systems, to ensure optimum system performance and determine the system strategy for business continuity.

- Responsible for daily system health checks and proactive incident reporting.

- Support new operation initiatives and to drive development of system integration, acceptance, performance management practice and performance testing.

- Work with different stakeholders to perform technical support for any TRUST incident or request.

- Support infrastructure services either on premise, hybrid, or public cloud environment to support TRUST systems by working closely with different stakeholders.

- Support integration services between external systems either on premise, hybrid, or public cloud environment to support TRUST systems by working closely with different stakeholders.

- Responsible for ensuring backup solution for TRUST data and system are operational state

- Support for any application/platform and security incidents, work with various internal teams and vendors to resolve issues on a timely basis to meet SLA.

- Responsible for tracking and maintaining TRUST asset inventory to ensure all asset are accounted for.

- Ensure that Standard Operation Processes (SOPs) are properly documented and complies with audit requirements.

Requirements / Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, or in relevant disciplines.

- Added advantage with AWS Certification - At least 1 years of working experience in Cloud-based services, IT operations and vendor management.

- Proactive and dedicated individual with multi-tasking capabilities

- Working knowledge of and experienced in Public Agency IT/System environment is preferred.

In-depth hands-on experience on:

- Familiar with cloud-based services such as Government Commercial Cloud (GCC), AWS and/or Azure.

- Familiarity with security and access control measures to control privileged access to test and production environment.

- Experience in networking technologies such as WAN, LAN, Network Security, Firewall rules, Load Balancers, VPNs and DNS

- Knowledge of disaster recovery, system backup and restore.

- Troubleshooting connectivity and data transfer issues.

- Certification in AWS SysOps is a plus.

• Design, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure platforms.
• Implemented and managed Microsoft M365 solutions, including IAM, Mobility, and Security.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve cloud infrastructure and system-related issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Cloud Systems Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS and Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft M365 solutions, focusing on IAM, Mobility, and Security.
• Understanding of networking in cloud environments (VPC,security groups, firewalls, etc.).
• Experience with backup solutions and cloud disaster recovery planning.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, M365 certifications) are preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency with automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Experience in managing hybrid cloud environments and integrating cloud services with on-premises systems.
• Knowledge of security best practices and experience with cloud security tools (e.g., Azure Security Center, AWS Security Hub).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and cloud performance optimization.
• Experience with Microsoft PowerShell and Azure CLI for automation tasks.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide timely and effective technical support to internal users when troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

2. Install, configure, and maintain internal computer systems, servers, software, and peripherals.

3. Assist with network and system administration tasks related to internal IT support.

4. Coordinator for Cybersecurity compliance policy between Group HQ and SEA entities.

5. Support and maintain various SaaS subscribed around end point management and data security.

6. Assist IT manager in developing the culture of cyber security governance and risk management across the organization, and ensure proper accountability in the management, tracking and reporting of cyber risks.

7. Assist in developing and maintaining IT policy documentation for compliance-related activities and procedures.

8. Support internal IT projects as assigned, not limited to POC, vendor sourcing, solution proposal.

9. Assist with IT process in staff onboarding and offboarding.

10. After office hours support for urgent issues related to internal IT processes.

Skills and Attributes:

1. Good technical knowledge in SaaS solutions like O365, MFA, Backup and Restore.

2. Strong ability to understand problem and identify resolution process within the support team

3. Good technical knowledge of how to configure, maintain and troubleshoot various internal IT supporting equipment like router, switch, access point, conference system, IP phones.

4. Command fluent English and Mandarin communication in verbal as well as written when interacting with internal users and HQ colleagues.

5. Strong understanding of IT compliance standards and cybersecurity practices.

6. Good organizational and time management skills when handling project and task

7. Good analytical skills and problem-solving ability and the ability to work under pressure.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Degree or Diploma in Security related field.

2. System related certification from Microsoft Server, O365, Modern Work, Data policy

3. Cybersecurity related certification like CND, CIH and SSCP

• Work closely with project team to assist Quality and Validation Manager Asia region to the tasks on schedule and within quality standard compliance.
• Responsible completion of the Quality, Cost, and Time validation functions for customer projects.
• Create and maintain qualification/validation documentation for mechanical, software, and hardware components from the design phase of projects.
• Oversee the qualification and validation processes for projects in conducting risk analysis, protocol drafting, and test implementation during FAT & SAT process internally and partners’ sites.

Job Responsibilities:

• Carry out maintenance, repair and overhaul work on heavy vehicles
• Complete work order for each vehicle and unit serviced
• Conduct service maintenance on trucks, including:
• Power steering diagnostics and repair
• Engine overhaul
• ESCOT control housing, gearbox, and rear axle overhauls
• Advanced multimeter measurements and wiring repairs
• Emission-related system repairs
• Electrical fault tracing, repair, and calibration using Tech Tool
• Carry out mechanical, electrical, and electronic repairs
• Record repair details and time in the Work Order
• Follow warranty processes and procedures, including proper handling of parts
• Manage tools and equipment responsibly
• Respond to breakdowns as needed
• Any other ad hoc duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Possess minimum Certificate and/or NTC 3/2 in Motor Vehicle Mechanics or NTC 3/2 Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics or related field with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience
• Possess Class 3 driving license would be an added advantage

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY (Main purpose of this job):

• The Arts Technician manages the daily running and operations of the Arts Department (Visual Arts, Media, Music and Dramatic Arts).
• The Arts Technician assists with the procurement and management of programme resources and materials, the preparation of teaching materials, classroom support and events.
• The Arts Technician oversees the procurement of fixed assets items in the Arts Department, ensuring these items are tagged and listed in the fixed assets register, and maintaining an inventory system of these items.
• The Arts Technician manages the sign in/ out system of centralised equipment e.g. DSLRs, as well ensures the equipment are serviced and updated where applies

RESPONSIBILITIES (Key areas of responsibility):

• To responsibly and safely manage the Arts studios, teaching spaces and storage areas
• To carry out first line maintenance of tools, machines and equipment in studios and teaching spaces to ensure safety and reliability.
• To organize the cleaning and good order of the Art studios and their storage facilities.
• To prepare materials and equipment for Art lessons and projects, including preparation of demonstration materials and resources, and the stocking of classrooms with consumable items.
• Manage specialised IT equipment including, cameras, video cameras, projectors, microphones, lightings etc
• Efficient and safe storage of materials.
• Prepare orders of materials and equipment.
• Preparation of materials – trimming & resizing.
• Processing materials for re-use.
• Monitoring the cleaning of rooms, furniture and reporting any problems.
• Advising on the maintenance and use of rooms and equipment.
• To assist Arts Department teachers and students with practical tasks.
• To prepare display materials and equipment for events and to coordinate catering requirements.
• To control and store safely all chemicals, flammables and specialized solutions, ensuring that current local Health and Safety regulations are adhered to.
• To work with the procurement department to facilitate the ordering of materials and equipment.
• Keep stock records, advise on stock control/replacement,
• To keep track of the arts budget and prepare ordering of stationery, OPEX and CAPEX items.
• Liaising with finance regarding PO and invoice processing.
• Receiving equipment and materials.
• Ensure fixed assets are tagged (through IT) and registered on the fixed assets registrar
• Maintain an inventory system for the Arts department
• To manage the sign in/ out system of centralised equipment e.g. DSLRs, as well ensures the equipment are serviced and updated where applies
• To keep stock room storage clean, equipped and organized.
• To undertake other appropriate Arts Department tasks as requested by department staff, such as assisting with the organization of field trips, visiting artists, guest speakers.
• To assist with Dramatic and Visual Arts department productions and events at the school.
• To facilitate booking spaces (e.g. atrium, auditorium, library, Red Dot Convention Centre) and liaise with facilities and maintenance to ensure rehearsals and events are ready.
• To communicate with respective staff and faculty in regards to logistics and event planning for concerts, rehearsals, exhibitions, and other on-site or off-site school Arts functions.
• Responsible for level three and four hallway art display.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma in any discipline.
• Working experience in International School and being able to work effectively with others
• A good understanding of computer applications is an important feature of this role
• Good organizational and administration skills
• An understanding of English is important to ensure clear and effective communication.
