Job Responsibilities:

• Teach an exciting and comprehensive music literacy curriculum to Preschool, PG, and K2 students.
• Provide fun and engaging instruction in singing, percussion, keyboards, recorder, and violin (for the older kids).
• Plan, supervise, and implement the program according to the centre's policies, guidelines, and philosophy.
• Support each child’s educational and developmental journey, keeping accurate records of their progress through checklists, progress notes, photos, and anecdotal records.
• Take on other ad hoc duties as needed to keep our program running smoothly.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Professional Certification in Music (ABRSM in Piano, Music Theory, Music).
• Demonstrate musical competency in at least 2 instruments (e.g., Piano, Violin, Ukulele, Guitar, etc.).
• Knowledge of Solfege (do-re-mi syllables), Suzuki Violin, and Keyboard is a plus.
• Creative, inspiring, and full of positive energy.
• Prior experience in classroom teaching.
• Experience teaching music to children.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

Working Hours and Location:

• Mondays to Fridays, between 7am to 7pm.
• Location: KINEX (Paya Lebar) or Pasir Ris Mall.
• One half-day Saturday per month, scheduled in advance by management.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Needs Teacher to join our team. This role involves leading, designing, and implementing individualized learning plans for students with special needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of various developmental challenges and be driven by a desire to see children grow and thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Tailor educational programs that address the unique needs of each student, incorporating academic, social, and life skills development.
2. Engaging Lesson Delivery: Lead dynamic, adventure-driven lessons that foster exploration, creativity, and discovery for children with diverse developmental needs.
3. Behavioural Support: Implement positive behavioral strategies and interventions to support the emotional and social development of students, ensuring their progress in alignment with their individual goals.
4. Collaborate with Support Teams: Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other educational staff to ensure a holistic approach to each student’s development.
5. Parental Involvement: Communicate regularly with parents or caregivers about their child’s progress, providing insights on how the development of new skills and behaviors can improve the family’s overall quality of life.
6. Track and Assess Progress: Regularly evaluate each student’s academic and behavioral progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed to meet individual goals.
7. Create a Safe and Supportive Environment: Foster an inclusive classroom setting that promotes the well-being and engagement of all students, allowing them to explore their abilities in a safe space.
8. Engage in Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest research, strategies, and best practices in special education and developmental needs to provide the highest quality education for students.

Working hours: 10am – 7pm; Monday – Friday

School Holidays: 7am – 7pm; Rotating Shifts

Job Responsibilities:

• To facilitate and carry out the daily operations routine.
• Assist with English & Chinese Homework and Assessments.
• Setting up appropriate classroom rules and cleanliness of the classroom.
• Ensure the children are safe at all times and supervised appropriately and orderly.
• Foster a joy for learning and provide emotional support, care and concern as well as encouragement should the need arise.
• To be familiar with a student's medical conditions and dietary restrictions, etc.
• To adhere to the specific guidelines given by the Centre Manager as well as the roles assigned by the Centre Manager
• To work as a team and share the collective responsibilities
• Assist the children in their homework, spelling and assessment activities.

Requirements:

• Minimum Polytechnic Diploma with 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Candidates with prior experience in giving Tuition Lessons preferred
• Candidates that possess primary school content knowledge for English and Mandarin homework guidance will be an added advantage
