The Student Support Department (SSD) is looking for a highly qualified Special Education Teacher with previous experience in delivering individualized intervention to join our team of multidisciplinary professionals. Responsibilities:

• Carry out differentiated learning plan for individual students
• Provide 1-1 and/or group academic coaching for online Home-based Learning or in an interim learning centre run by CCF
• Plan and develop learning resources for academic lessons and Active Learning sessions, including curriculum for students
• Assist in preparing relevant academic reports
• Liaise with social workers, vendors and other stakeholders with regard to programmes at the centre
• Assist with operational matters

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of work experience in the area of secondary school teaching with the relevant qualifications
• Preferably with SEN experience
• Applicant needs to have current knowledge of the latest subject syllabus of at least one major subject
• Must be comfortable with both online and classroom teaching
• Resourceful and tech-savvy individual
• Fun-loving, empathetic, able to connect well with children
• Self-motivated and independent worker who works well in a team
• Able to adapt to changes

Job Descriptions:

• Plan, supervise, and implement the Literacy programme for the class in accordance with the policies, guidelines, framework and philosophy of MindChamps.
• Prepare age-appropriate teaching aids and implement the programme in class.
• Use positive guidance strategies and techniques at all times.
• Maintain and build strong relationships with the Champs and their parents.
• Keep accurate records of the Champs’ progress. Address each Champ’s educational and developmental needs on an individual basis to the best of your ability.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma – preferably in Early Childhood Education or Educational Studies (Early Years Enrichment, Creative Language Arts, Speech and Drama, etc)
• Preferably with a minimum of 1 year’s classroom teaching experience with learners aged 3 to 7 years old
• Engaging, dynamic and creative.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Strong command of the English Language (spoken and written).
