• Ensure smooth operation / coordination with Freight Agents, Stores/Warehouse, and Transporters and being proactive on the ground to raise alert

• Declare permits, handle shipping documentations, verify invoices, and other paper work

• Submit regular or periodic reports on statistics, inventory, shipping, insurance, etc.

• Organise, plan and execute efficiently on the daily activities

The Candidate

• Any degree with prior expereince in cargo industry.

• Minimum 4-5 years direct working experience in shipping operation for either Land, Sea or Air Freights

• Possess own Permit Declaration ID - OR - passed Singapore Customs Competency Test for Declarants

• Familiar with or having knowledge of Tradenet System

Other Information

• Working Location: Air freight Terminal or AMK office.

• Working Schedule: Normal office hours, 5.5-days working week

Job Responsibilities:

• Attend to customs inquiries or queries at declaration and secure the permits approval

• Declaring all Types of Customs Permits and other required processes to facilitate the smooth movement of goods in and out of Singapore in Compliance with the Singapore Customs requirement

• Support in the resolution of escalated customs' concerns and issues on the declaration

• Perform cargo acceptance documentation and handle customs clearance processing according to industry standards or sector requirements

Job Requirements: • Must be comfortable working on the PC, familiar with MS Word and Excel

• 1 - 2 years in performing permit declarations with a good track record

• To liaise with customs authorities or agencies on all customs-related queries related to permit declaration

• Keeping a proper record of all things related to customs permits, providing data and reports on a weekly/monthly basis to management

• With valid customs certificate.
