Overview of The Department

Commercial Rating and Underwriting (CRU) sits within the Credit and Fraud Risk (CFR) division and forms the institutional credit risk management function within American Express. The CRU team plays the critical role of assessing and managing the risk of institutional exposures across all business units with American Express, and in all regions globally. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead program/project requirements and design sprints to define business and technical requirements through design implementation.
• Manage the requirements delivery (planning, estimation, risk management, reporting) to succeed in meeting overall program/project delivery.
• Leverage business knowledge to advise features/requirements priorities to delivery leads and/or product owners.
• Gather requirements by facilitating/coordinating meetings and conversations between business users, product owners, designers, SMEs, tech leads, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Identify people and systems impacted by functional and non-functional requirements.
• Collaborate with AI-enabled tools and methodologies to ensure requirements are effectively integrated into AI-supported workflows.
• Create/gather acceptance criteria in user stories and prepare any requirements specifications.
• Validate AI-generated outputs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with pre-set rules.
• Proactively engage, manage, and build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Work closely with Developers, DevOps engineers, Designers, and QA teams during all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Participate actively in mob programming sessions to facilitate AI-supported collaboration and contextual alignment among team members.

WHO YOU ARE:

• Degree in Information Technology or equivalent.
• Relevant domain: Financial Institution, Retail, E-Commerce, Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG).
• With more than 5 years of working experience in IT business analysis, including experience in AI-driven workflows or collaborative AI-enabled team structures.
• Good understanding of enterprise applications or prior experience in various tech products/development stacks is ideal but not mandatory.
• Strong familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Jira Automation, or other AI-enabled platforms is a plus.
• Good communication, analytical, conceptualization, and problem-solving skills.
• Participated in full software or product development cycles.
• Knowledge and experience of Agile development practices.
• Experience working within mob teams or other high-collaboration environments is highly desirable.

Project Description:Our Customer is a Leading bank headquartered in Singapore implementing a front to back integrated platform for straight through processing and risk management.
This is a multi-year initiative where different projects run in concurrence across streams including: new product initiatives, new entity roll-outs and regulatory compliances.
The project you will be working on is a multi-year initiative looking to implement market-risk FRTB IMA for the customer by 2025.
This project is a great opportunity for the successful candidate to gain or extend in-depth knowledge on FRTB IMA and/or Murex market risk implementation.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and analyse business requirements into a solution design, managing user requirements workshops and formulation of an overall solution design, modelling transactions through the system to ensure that the business requirements are met.
• Hands-on Techno-Functional role to analysis and propose solutions for business issues, process changes and functional requirements.
• Work with different technology teams across infrastructure, and other divisions to deliver system solutions for the business.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on their priorities, needs as well as system improvements.
• Build a strong relationship and manage expectations with users and stake holders.

Mandatory Skills Description:

• We are looking for a System Analyst with Market risk experience, who can drive our project activities to completion
• Experience working in the financial industry with relevant experience in business analysis or in core Market Risk module and project implementation
• Candidate must have thorough understanding of regulation on "Minimum requirement of Market Risk capital charge"
• Murex experience or at least technical skills is a must
• Ability to drive and lead a team of SA's
• Strong ownership and accountability
• Strong team player with excellent communication & inter-personal skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

• Previous experience in FRTB IMA / FRTB SA
• Previous experience on implementing Fundamental Review of Trading Book (FRTB SA and IMA) SIMM(Standard Initial Margining Model), xVA is preferred
• Margining, collateral or related credit risk methodologies
• Experience in managing and delivery of trading platforms for Treasury products on a global scale, integrated within the organizations treasury product systems

Role: Business Analyst

Duration; 12months initial

Location: Changi, SG

• Collate and manage all the details regarding the CCTR application for the assigned business vertical

– information could span from details of systems interfacing, content of the various data being posted, data held within the application etc.

• Support user community on business queries and guidance on better usage of the system on daily BAU activities.

• Clear understanding the scope of the project, the changes associated and support the Project Manager in impact assessment. Clearly document the rationale for projects where no impact is assessed.

• For project where there is an impact, play a governance role in ensuring that the design (in terms of the level of information required from source to core processing is aligned with the strategic data flow strategy.

• Collate and rationalise all stakeholders’ requirements and walkthrough these requirements with team

• Actively partnering with the team in the solutioning process to ensure that the business solutions being implemented are thought through from a long term, standardization, design for no operations, front-end configuration perspective.

• Assess and propose appropriate testing approach and sign off criteria to stakeholders and get concurrence.

• Overall UAT management in terms of UAT timeline, batch run/ re-run and managing the tester’s testing result.

• Prepare proper documentation on the data flow, design, business solutioning and testing approach in accordance with predefined template.

• Manage end to end project life cycle including deployment plans and live verification with users.

Senior Software Quality Analyst (Contract)

Job Description & Requirements

· Develop and maintain automated test framework on Java

· Expertise in Test lifecycle including Requirement Analysis, Identifying Test Scope,Designing Test cases,Executing Test cases, and tracking defects till closure

· Have worked in Agile project models

· Familiar and equipped with agile testing experience in scrum-based/Kanban based projects.

· Experience in scrum ceremonies like backlog grooming and refinement, sprint planning, daily scrum, sprint review, sprint retrospective etc

Requirements:

· QA analyst with minimum of 7 years’ experience in test automation preferable in financial services domain

· Good to have knowledge and experience in Equities or Derivatives trading

· Testing experience with Industry standard APIs used in Financial Services domain (e.g. Financial Information eXchange (FIX), FIXML, REST)

· Experience in test automation framework using BDD framework with Cucumber & TestNG

· Experience on Selenium Web Driver, Postman(API Testing)

· Experience on Build and Configuration Tools like MAVEN

· Experience on CI/CD Tools like Jenkins and version control via BitBucket or GitHub

· Good understanding of Java Libraries - REST Assured

· Have used IDEs like IntelliJ and Eclipse

· Programming Languages - Core Java

· Working knowledge of proprietary or industry standard tools such as Tricentis Tosca, VeriFIX, is a plus.

· Able to guide and mentor junior test resources

· Ability to communicate clearly both in writing and verbally

Nature of Service:

1. Identification and assessment of current state processes based on interviews, focus group discussions, data gathering, etc.
2. Development of future state processes in consultation with stakeholder groups including the Authority’s contractors/vendors.
3. Facilitation of stakeholder group discussions or workshops to gather requirements, seek concensus on proposed future state processes, etc.
4. Documentation of process models using the Authority’s preferred tool.
