11. Effectively and efficiently carry out routine vessel inspections, dry-docking and major repairs

12. Plan and implement corrective actions for defects that may exist in the vessels and ensure compliance with planned maintenance schedule for assigned vessel

13. Monitor and ensure that all applicable vessel certifications are valid, and surveys / renewals are planned well in time

14. Ensure fleet vessels performance is within charter party requirements and Company goals.

15. Undertake technical related assignments and projects as and when required

16. This position required frequent travel overseas and estimated up to 120 days or more travel to attend vessels in various ports worldwide.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

1. Educational Qualification should be at least Graduate Engineer and holder of COC Class 1 (Unlimited FG).
2. Must have sailed as Chief Engineer on (Tanker - Bulk / Oil / Crude / Chemical / LNG / LPG ) or Dry Vessels ( Bulk Careers / Containers).
3. Minimum 3 Year Experience in Senior Officer Rank on Foreign Going Tanker Vessels.
4. Proficient in PMS, ISM, PSC, Flag & Class requirements.
5. Preferably not have changed companies during last 5 years.
6. Previous working experience of at least 1 year handling Foreign Going vessels as Technical Superintendent.

Summary: As a Senior Technical Superintendent, you are responsible for the efficient operation of the ships assigned. You are a member of the Ship Management Team and you will operate in accordance to the Company procedures and best ship management practices, whilst giving absolute regard to safety of life at sea and protection of the environment always. You are responsible for ensuring health and safety is adhered to at all times.

Reports to: Fleet Manager

Role and Responsibilities:

• Manage regular reports from vessels assigned to him/her and file them in a structured manner.
• Review and follow up on routine reports from the vessel.
• Carry out regular data analysis of costs, PMS and other KPI factors in order to ascertain health of the ship as far as ship management is concerned.
• Maintain structure and quality of data fed into Ship manager system by crew onboard the vessels (GL system).
• Formulate a dynamic work plan and action list with the vessel's command, to ensure that the vessel is maintained in accordance with the Owner's policy and to receive regular reports as to its progress.
• Visit the vessels as required and report on general condition, repairs and maintenance, crew performance, safety, environmental protection, and any actions required. Discuss with Ship's Command the work plan, running costs, spares and stores and other issues of concern and reporting on same,
• Prepare technical specs for dockings etc.
• Pre-purchase inspections in Asia region.
• Assist in carrying out technical analysis for new purchases.
• Undertake any other Technical related assignments as and when required assigned by Managing Director, Fleet Management / Senior Fleet Manager.

Requirements:

Education & Knowledge

• Recognised marine engineering or naval architecture qualification either at sea or educational establishment
• Good understanding of shore-based activities and implications surrounding the role (application/interview)
• Able to administer technical and budgetary requirements
• Competent using Microsoft office and other computer software

Working Experience

• Min 10 years of experience in similar capacity on container vessels (a mix of containers and tankers will be considered).
• Prior experience as Chief Engineer with minimum sailing experience preferably on container vessels. Otherwise, sailing experience on cargo ships (container/bulk carrier/tanker) is required.
• Prior experience in dry-docking.
• Candidate should have good knowledge of PMS and SMS system.
• Candidate with LNG/LPG/Dual Fuel experience will have added advantage.

Qualifications

Your Experience

• Experience - 5+ years in support roles, working directly with large global customers and partners in addition to internal teams (such as DevOps, Engineering, QA, Product managers)
• Working experience in configuring and troubleshooting SD-WAN technologies
  Expertise with Remote Access VPN solutions, IPSEC, PKI & SSL, TCP/IP, Authentication Protocols (LDAP, RADIUS etc.)
• Experience working with Firewall Central Management Systems
• Experience working with multi-factor authentication security system (tokens, certificates, CAC cards, and similar)
• Working knowledge of Security services (IDS/IPS, Firewalls etc.)
• Strong ability to independently debug broad, complex, and unique networks with mixed media and protocols required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
• Virtualization experience (AWS, Azure, VMWare, OpenStack) is a plus
• Experience with Windows and MAC OS is a plus (Debugging, Editing Registries, Plist etc.)
• Working experience in Silverpeak, Huawei, Fortinet or any vendor related SD-WAN devices is a plus
