You will provide technical guidance and development support to the office’s ongoing medical technology development projects which include but are not limited to supporting validation of unmet clinical needs in projects, providing inputs to project teams on regulatory, quality and risk requirements, performing basic risk assessment of proposed solutions with consideration to regulatory requirements and conducting clinical need filtering and de-risking.

You will ensure compliance with quality, regulatory and organisation policies and systems and support record-keeping and documentation needed for compliance. You will manage and drive project tasks (including recommendation of grants) to ensure timely completion of project milestones (towards successful grant applications) and ensure that the projects meet KPIs set by the grant agency and manager.

Job Requirements

• PhD in Engineering or Science with relevant experience in quality management systems and/or risk management processes
• Master’s Degree in Engineering or Science with minimum 2 years of experience in quality management systems and/or risk management processes
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science with minimum 4 years’ experience in quality management systems and/or risk management processes
• Experience in risk management processes for medical technology development
• Experience in implementation/maintenance of a quality management system
• Experience in QMS audit will be a strong advantage
• Familiarity with ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 62304, ISO14155, Medical Device Regulatory, Medical Device Standards, Risk Management for Medical Devices

What you’ll be doing:

• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their monitoring platform system requirements, including security protocols, data centre infrastructure, building automation systems and integration needs.
• Develop technical specifications and design the software architecture and components of PSIM, DCIM, and BMS systems. Ensure scalability, reliability, and compatibility with existing systems and industry standards.
• Ability to maintain and configure COTs products such as Genetec, Milestones, Advancis and Prysm.
• Integrate software components with various systems, including security devices, network equipment, data centre infrastructure, and building automation systems.
• Demonstrate understanding of CI/CD and Release Management process and the related activities.
• Conduct thorough testing to ensure the system’s proper functionality, performance, and interoperability.
• Write/Maintain efficient and maintainable code to implement the required functionality for PSIM, DCIM, and BMS systems. Utilize programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python, and leverage appropriate frameworks and libraries.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure proper network bandwidth, security, and quality of service to monitor required data and storage while ensuring efficient utilization of the computing and network resources.
• Provide technical support and training to clients and end-users while ensuring timely and satisfactory resolution of customer concerns.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies, IT trends, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to select the most suitable equipment and solutions for specific projects.
• Create comprehensive technical documentation, user manuals and installation guides as part of pre-sales, project and maintenance documentation, including system designs, equipment specifications, and as-built documentation.

What you’ll need:

• Diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in CCTV and Access Control systems are highly desirable.
• Proven experience of 3-5 years in system application development, system integration, and implementation.
• Strong understanding of IT principles, networking protocols, and system integration.
• Knowledge of PSIM, DCIM, or BMS concepts, protocols, and standards.
• Familiarity with security systems, data centre infrastructure, and building automation systems.
• Experience with software development frameworks and tools.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards related to including IM8, ITSM and ASM.

What you’ll be doing:

• Technical Design Validation. Responsibilities include assisting the Programme/Project Manager to validate proposed solution and efforts, ensure users requirement are captured in the solution and propose counter solutions that would be beneficious.
• Review existing processes and deliver continuous improvements to keep pace with policy and business process changes, and implement technology refresh for supporting tools and technologies.
• Ensure that IT solutions are designed to comply with organization’s governance and compliance policies and procedures such as IT management, quality management and IT security.
• Assist the Programme/Project Manager to manage and ensure timely deliverables by the respective system Contractors; ensure deliverables conformed to the standards and control defined for the programme; identify and manage risk and mitigation strategies; identify, analyse and ensure resolution of issues; manage change control.

What you’ll need:

• Degree in Computer Science, Computing, Electrical Engineering, or IT equivalent
• Shall have at least 10 years of working experience in information technology, of which at least 4 years of working experience in J2EE or related technology.
• Knowledge of SAP HCM ERP.
• Experience in IT audit is advantageous.
• Familiarity with IM8 or equivalent ICT policies is advantageous.
