Job Scope

Leads the regional Service and Customer Support needs of customers served. Develops and drives the service business to exceed annual revenue and profit targets. The role will involve direct management of the ICOS and SPTS service support resources and coordinating support from other support orgs to ensure a positive customer experience for Packaging Channel customers across all product lines.

Customer Service

• Build strong customer relationships, establish technical credibility and penetrate at all levels of the customer’s technical organization
• Handles all facets of customer retention and satisfaction including participating in the resolution of customer concerns and defining and developing a customer contact strategy.
• Be proactive with customer management to identify potential areas of improvement and drive resolution (tool or customer service related)
• Coordinate factory support as required (BU, Product Support, Logistics, Sales, etc.)
• Manage local critical issues

Business / Finance

• Forecast and help manage yearly business revenue
• Plan, budget, and manage expenses to enable a balanced profitable service business
• Supports customers and promotes relevant CIPs and product improvements
• Understand all customer related agreements, equipment specifications, and Service Level Agreements
• Work closely with Account managers in the channel to drive P&S objectives (Product and Service)

General

• Analyzes operational processes, escalation procedures, and performs training gap assessments by finding opportunities for service delivery improvements and benefit to the customer / clients
• Liaises between customers and manufacturing, sales, field service, order processing and accounting to resolve status updates, production, delivery and billing inquiries
• Develop a solid understanding of the equipment base at your customer sites.
• Ensures adequate records and systems are maintained
• Track and review equipment, warranty, contract and escalation performance metrics
• Establish strong working relationships with other Business Units, Product Support, Regional Product Support, and Sales personnel
• Ensure all employees receive and maintain proper training
• Conduct performance reviews and appraisals for your team.
• Set clear goals for the team that support overall account goals and objectives
• Promote and role model safety in the workplace
• Adhoc special projects and tasks as requested by Management

Qualifications and Essential skills:

• Minimum Bachelor’s Level Degree and work experience of at least 10 years
• Strong customer orientation and advocacy
• Excellent project management, analytic and organizational skills
• Effectively communicate through writing and presenting in front of Senior Management
• Expertise in critical thinking and leadership with proven abilities in relationship management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple tasks simultaneously
• Basic financial and budget management skills
• Ability to travel >25%

• At least 3 years of experience in a role focusing on data pipelines.
• Experience in building on data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks).
• Experience in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD).
• Experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
• Experience in data warehousing concepts.
• Proficient in SQL and Python.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide IT technical support and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and networking issues for various users.
• To keep the software up to-date and responsive to the changing needs of each department.
• Establish, implement, and review IT policies, IT asset (hard and software) lifecycle policies, and standard and processes relating to the use, preservation and recovery of information assets to ensure proper usage, compliance and security
• Coordinate with vendors for provision of end-user support and escalate to vendor for desktop/laptop hardware repairs or software troubleshooting
• Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures and system standards
• Set up AV/video conferencing prior to general meetings
• Perform inventory management and health check of software licenses, hardware, and other IT peripherals
• Ensure proper documentation of all IT infrastructure setups, software licenses, and any software modifications
• Design and conduct IT user training on systems under the IT Department's purview
• To ensure that all computer systems provide uninterrupted service especially to Operations user through timely IT support.
• To ensure that back-up data stored in an off-site location is regularly updated.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Unix servers, including AIX and Red Hat Linux, through installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and shell scripts for automation of system management tasks.
• Oversee middleware platforms such as IBM WAS, JBoss, and MQ, including installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
• Implement and maintain configuration management and automation tools to streamline system administration tasks.
• Monitor system performance and implement necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to support infrastructure projects and resolve technical issues.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems and data.

What we are looking for

• Proven experience as a Unix Administrator with a focus on AIX and Red Hat Linux administration.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Ansible and shell scripting for automation and system management tasks.
• Experience with middleware platforms such as IBM WAS, JBoss, and MQ is highly desirable.
• Sound knowledge of configuration management and automation tools.
• Familiarity with system monitoring tools and techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Relevant certifications such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or IBM Certified System Administrator - AIX.
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerization technologies is a plus.

Job Description:
