Senior Testing Engineer

As part of IME’s Photonics & Sensors Department, the candidate will take lead for the development of various testing capability for advanced photonics, including but not limited to chip-level and wafer-level testing of optical devices and electro-optical devices. You will work closely with an excellent multidisciplinary team working on advanced photonics.

Responsibilities:

• Develop various photonics testing capabilities for both chips and wafers, including design and building of measurement setups
• Optimize data acquisition and analysis process to improve test efficiency, e.g. automation of measurement processes for wafer-scale testing and corner analysis
• Perform chip-scale and wafer-scale data collection for OE, EO and OO devices
• Manage photonics laboratory including facilities management, health and safety, equipment calibration, inventory and stocktake
• Take on procurement duties for laboratory equipment and consumables
• Prepare technical presentations for internal meetings

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electronic/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in optical/photonics device testing
• Experience in experimental data acquisition and analysis

Responsibilities

●Collaborate with the sales/business development team to understand customer requirements and use cases, and identify how company's Robotics solutions can address those needs.
● Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to potential customers, showcasing the features and benefits of our robotics solutions.

Requirements:

● Degree with a focus on robotics, mechatronics, or related fields. Background in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering can be considered as well.

● Should have at least one of the following:
○ Experience in Python or Javascript or C++. (or)
○ Experience in CAD software such as SolidWorks. (or)
○ Experience in mechatronics design such as working with Arduino or custom PCBs.

Plus Qualifications (Good to have)
● Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
● Familiarity with Docker, Jenkins, and other deployment tools.
● Exposure to backend system design to support robotics applications.
● Previous experience in a presales or technical sales role.

AI Singapore (AISG) is a national AI programme launched by the National Research Foundation (NRF) to anchor deep national capabilities in Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The programme office is hosted by the National University of Singapore (NUS) and brings together all Singapore-based research institutions and the vibrant ecosystem of AI start-ups and companies developing AI products to perform use-inspired research, grow the knowledge, create the tools, and develop the talent to power Singapore's AI efforts.

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join AI Singapore to lead the evaluation efforts in the Applied Research for Foundation Models team in AI Products.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the development of NLP products for Southeast Asian languages, with a focus on foundation models and linguistically-motivated approaches.
• Aid efforts on the fine-tuning, alignment and reasoning of large language models, including research, experimentation, implementation and data creation where applicable.
• Keep abreast of latest developments in NLP for low-resource languages, evaluation approaches etc.
• Collaborate with various parties both within and outside of Singapore on research and software development

Qualifications

• Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or Computational Linguistics
• Background in Linguistics is highly preferred
• Competency in a Southeast Asian language, or knowledge of multiple languages is strongly preferred
• Familiar with modern NLP models, including transformer architectures and large language models
• Familiar with fine-tuning and alignment techniques related to chain-of-thought generation and reasoning in LLMs
• Familiar with NLP evaluation methods and metrics
• Experienced in NLP model implementations based on PyTorch or Tensorflow/Keras, with some exposure to the setting up of end-to-end pipelines from data preparation to deployment
• Fluent in Python, but other languages such as Java, C++ or Javascript will be a bonus
• Have a good grasp of the fundamentals of Machine Learning
• Knowledge and experience in Software Engineering will be beneficial (e.g. Agile framework, Frontend/Backend development, Git)

As a Process Control System Engineer you will be primarily responsible for starting up, developing and optimizing processes to improve product quality and reliability, working on process yield improvement, cost reduction, productivity improvement and risk management as well as resolving manufacturing line problems. You will also be required to identify, diagnose and resolve assembly process related problems by applying failure analysis, FMEA, 8D or SPC/FDC methodology. Optics are critical at KLA and at the core of our tools that are finding defects on wafers and reticles that aren’t visible with the human eye. We do this by using different light sources and nanophotonics to capture images. As an optical engineer at KLA, you’re responsible for developing ultra-high precision optical systems and component designs for complex systems, conducting key optical simulations, modeling and analysis as well as identifying manufacturing issues and developing solutions for these.

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the optical specifications, lens design, and supplier integration of new optics enabled products for the Optics Development Engineering group.
• Effective use of Code V or Zemax to design low residual aberration generating imaging lenses, relays, spatial/polarization beamsplitters and zoom lenses both from nominal design process to final Monte Carlo tolerance analysis and error budgeting.
• Construct complex system models using above components having all imaging paths with critical parameters needed to produce accurate and efficient raytracing simulations of Strehl/WFE performance, coherent and incoherent PSF size/shape, focal depth of field and pupil, multiple bounce ghost and non-sequential stray light analysis, and polarization ray tracing to quantify transmission, retardance, diattenuation.
