This role is primarily responsible for maintaining the plant automation Operational Technology (OT) systems including but not limited to engineering, troubleshooting, maintenance, projects, and vendor management. OT system consists of control system devices (PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD, etc.), server application (PI, historian, SQL, etc.) and field instruments (maintenance and calibration).

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and maintain plant automation, instrumentation, and controls OT infrastructure.
2. Troubleshoot and analyse automation related problems. Create permanent solution based on root cause analysis to eliminate plant downtime to a minimum.
3. Lead the site calibration programs as per global standard. Liaise with vendors and production team to maintain calibration schedules of all instruments to eliminate issues on safety, quality, production, and other risks due to calibration or instrumentation failure.
4. Develop a detailed understanding of automation systems in the plant including but not limited to Rockwell Logix PLCs (Compact Logix, Control Logix, etc.) PanelView, Wonderware ArchestrA & Intouch, Wonderware Historian, SQL database, ASI, EtherNet/IP, FTAC, Power Flex VFDs and any other control systems installed at site.
5. Ensure latest backups and crash recovery procedures are updated and tested to recover any OT assets (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, VFDs, Controllers etc) in case of a crash or machine failure.
6. Support any projects (OpEx/CaPex/global/etc.) as automation point of contact during design engineering, development, and commissioning to ensure smooth transaction after project handover.

Job Description:

• Sales Generation: Contribute to the team revenue in all aspects of the sales process, including lead generation, customer inquiries, order processing, and post-sales support.
• Customer Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers by providing prompt and accurate information, addressing queries and concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Proposal and Quotation Preparation: create sales proposals and quotations, ensuring accuracy, and timely delivery to customers.
• Market Research: Conduct research on market trends, competitors, and customer needs to identify potential sales opportunities and develop effective sales strategies.
• Trade Shows and Events: Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of trade shows, industry events, and customer demonstrations to promote products and services.
• Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative tasks, including maintaining sales records, preparing sales documentation, managing calendars, and coordinating meetings and appointments.

Education & Skills Requirements:

• Diploma or Certifications in Marine / Engineering or relevant fields.
• Candidate with experience in the marine or similar industry is preferred.
• Industry Technical Knowledge: Understanding of the marine or similar industry, including knowledge of similar products, services, market trends, and customer needs.
• Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.
• Organization and Attention to Detail: Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Good analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address customer issues and sales challenges effectively.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive and cooperative work environment.
• Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks with tight deadlines.

-Take a lead of QA department.

- Support to provide 8D report for handling customer complaint.

- Assisting in failure analysis of internal and external defects.

- Maintain the documentation control and calibration system.

- Prepare inspection reports and analysis on Non-Conformance report.

- Provide support and training for the QC inspector.

- Assist in preparation of work instruction, procedure and inspection requirement.

- Support the supplier management by providing feedback on material quality to supplier.

- Prepare Certificate of Conformity, declaration of ROHs, REACH and other related report.

-Ensure the achievement of Quality Goal/objective in Key Performance Index Target.

-Perform dimensional inspection using CMM

-Conduct internal process audit

-Prepare & Conduct ISO 001:2015 audit

-Perform 5S and housekeeping.

-Able to plan and execute tasks within datelines and anticipate any problems before hand.

-Work well under pressure and able to finish by datelines.

-Motivated and can multitask.

-Able to work and interact with people from different backgrounds.

-Able to handle and work under stress conditions.
