The Proposal Engineer I assists in the growth of business opportunities through effective proposal management and ensuring the completeness and accuracy of proposals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• With close involvement from Commercial and Technical Leads, analyze customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and technical specifications to understand project requirements.

• Prepare cost estimates, technical and commercial proposals, and related documentation in response to customer inquiries.

• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and procurement teams to gather necessary information for proposal development.

• Assist in the review and editing of proposal content to ensure clarity, compliance, and alignment with customer needs.

• Maintain proposal templates, pricing databases, and other relevant documentation.

• Support proposal review meetings and participate in internal Contract Scorecard Reviews

• Track and report on proposal status and outcomes to facilitate continuous improvement.

• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

• Some examples could include supporting new Innovation Center Piloting runs or commercial plant start-ups to aid in personal development and provide a real world connection to the solutions you are supporting/selling.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Strong technical aptitude and ability to interpret complex technical requirements.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Description of the Role:

The Service Sales / Project executive / Engineer MUST at all times maintain confidentiality of all prices and plans and SHALL NOT disclose confidential information without the approval of the Senior Manager and or management.

Key Tasks:

· To assist the Sales / Service Manager / Assistant Manager in developing, review, and execute service sales plans to generate new business with new accounts.

In this role, the key responsibility is to lead and deliver the instrument engineering scope, working and collaborating in a global, multi-disciplinary project team environment. This role reports to the Principal Lead, Instrument Engineering in Automation & Control division.

Responsibilities

• Responsible to lead the project or package in Instrument discipline.
• Deliver instrument engineering solutions according to the project specification, class rules and regulations within budget.
• Responsible for Client/Vendor technical inputs, interfaces, meetings, technical clarifications, etc.
• Responsible for design review and vendor document review.
• Responsible for delivery of Instrument Engineering documents as per Master Document Register.
• Monitor progress of associated design team and generate progress reports.

Qualifications and experience

• Working experience in design and engineering team for conceptual studies, FEED & EPC phases for topsides & marine systems for an FPSO project or similar offshore projects
• Excellent knowledge of instrumentation, safety system engineering, including DCS/PLC based control system and field instrumentation for marine and offshore
• Experience in AutoCAD, MS Office (Word, Excel), Tools
• Familiar with SOLAS, offshore standards and classification society rules and requirements
• Experience with Kongsberg Automation & Safety (ICSS) system is an added advantage
