The Manager, Technical Solutions – Asia will directly manage the regional Solutions Architects across Asia, excluding SAARC region.
In addition, the duties of Manager, Technical Solutions – Asia will be required for Asia region on top of the management responsibilities. This is a pivotal role within the Asia Sales team and will be responsible for day-to-day management of the regional Solutions Architect team, ensuring the team is well trained and capable of supporting Regional Sales Managers across the entire portfolio of Ross solutions.
The Manager, Technical Solutions – Asia is expected to contribute technical and commercial advice across the wider sales team to help best position the team to win business. It is also expected that this role will drive improvements in the quality and performance of the team, innovating new processes or streamlining existing ones where necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively evaluate the Solution Architect team’s capabilities and as needed and appropriate and drive improvement in quality and performance of the team, developing systems and processes where necessary.
- Responsible for the overall hiring, motivation and management of the team, including recruitment, mentoring, coaching and evaluating team members.
- Contributes to planning of partner training sessions and bi-annual events.
- Contributes to planning and execution of sales events and tradeshows throughout the year.
- Participates and contributes to sales opportunities driven by the Regional Sales Managers, prioritising efforts based on maximising total impact on the team’s productivity.
- Coordinates closely with Ross’ internal Sales team and business partners to align solutions designed to meet our customers’ business requirements.
- Proactively educates and provides professional development to team and business partners to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.
- Where necessary participates in Solution Architect functions; systems design, customer meetings, tender responses etc.
- Acts as a “Technical Evangelist” to help build trust and inspiration with our partners and customers.
- Participates in developing and implementing product awareness collateral / presentations.
- Provides client feedback to Marketing Product Manager(s) on product & application requirements.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Knowledge / Skill / Experience requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of combined sales, sales engineering, pre-sales experience.
- Experience of managing as a team of systems architects or engineers.
- Record of achievement and technical solution expertise in a comparable sales role.
- Ideally possesses an understanding of commercial strategy and sales process.
- Understanding of the Broadcast / Media Technology Market (Live Production experience an asset).
- Excellent Communication & Presentation Skills.
- Able to work co-operatively with and across all company departments.
- Excellent presentation abilities and proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Possess strong and creative problem-solving traits.
- Existing knowledge and use of Ross Video products (preferred).
- Experience working with CRM’s, SalesForce preferred
- Willing to Travel up to 50% of the time
- Travel to trade shows as required
- Attend Sales Meetings and training sessions, as required
