This advertisement is for the recruiting position of Operations Support Officer.

If successfully selected, you will be seconded to a MOE Primary located in Pei Hwa Avenue.

Contract Period: From 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025.

Option to Extend: for another one year, i.e. from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026.

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours (42 hours per week):

• Mondays to Fridays: 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, inclusive of 1 hr lunch break
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

The Services required are set out as follows:

To assist the HOD and LH Science and teachers in -

1. Science & Laboratory Operations

• Maintain resources and apparatus in 2 Science laboratories
• Liaise with teachers on the coverage of syllabus for the preparation of the laboratories
• Prepare the resources and apparatus related to Science experiments for the 2 laboratories and the 4 mobile lab carts
• Monitor the usage of the laboratories and report the usage to the HOD/LH
• Maintain a loaning system for desk-copies and teaching resources for 4 levels of Science classes.
• Assist in the setting up, clearing and cleaning of demonstration apparatus
• Replacement of broken equipment from stock and be responsible for all equipment used in the teaching of science
• Keep a stock book and breakage record and to indicate necessary replacements
• Check and replenish the first aid kits in the 2 laboratories
• Prepare an inventory of stocks annually
• Perform any other related duties as and when assigned by the HOD (Science)
• Assist teachers when conducting practical lessons and tests in ensuring sufficient equipment for the pupils during the practical lessons and tests.
• Basic maintenance of Science garden

2. Office Administrative & Operations Support

• Support school administrative and operations matters. Eg. Office Front Desk Operations, setting-up support for school events/activities, buying of stamps and posting letters, sorting and distributing bulletins/notifications to teacher or classes, etc
• Perform any ad-hoc duties assigned by Principal, Vice-Principals, Administration Manager and Operations Manager

The Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, experience and skills:

• At least 3 ‘O’ levels passes
• At least 2 years experience preferably in school science laboratory
• Able to use Microsoft Word and Excel
• Preferably with relevant working experience in a primary school

Responsibilities:

• Provide onsite maintenance support, including troubleshooting, corrective and preventive maintenance to Company maintenance customers
• Provide remote maintenance support
• Perform firmware updates
• Provide onsite/remote standby as and when if required
• Installation support for servers and storage system
• Knowledge of System OS
• Meet contractual SLAs
• Assist to monitor and propose spares requirement/replenishment
• Liaise with multi parties, such as customers, OEM, vendors, PM and sales etc.
• Provide incidents reports
• Update case report promptly and accurately

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 3 years experience as an IT System and Maintenance Engineer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of IT systems, including hardware, software, networking, and security principles.
• Experience with system monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Proficiency in operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) and virtualization technologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+) are a plus.

The Student Support Executive will work closely with the form/subject teachers, under the guidance of YH,AYH & SH/SM, to:

• support the teachers in the classroom

• assist with classroom routines and administrative matters

• assist in organising and maintaining a structured classroom environment.
