The Opportunity

We are looking for a seasoned AWS Technical Architect to design, implement, and optimize our cloud infrastructure on AWS. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AWS services, infrastructure automation using Terraform, and in-depth knowledge of networking, compute, storage, database, monitoring, and alerting solutions. This role is critical to ensure our cloud infrastructure is secure, scalable, and efficient. Required experience of GCC and IM8 policies. Experience with advanced AWS tools and frameworks like Kinesis, Chime, OpenSearch, and Generative AI (GenAI) using Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) is highly valued.

Cloud Architecture and Design

• Design and implement highly available, resilient, and scalable architectures on AWS, including networking, compute, storage, and database solutions.
• Architect solutions that leverage AWS best practices for security, cost optimization, and performance.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

• Develop, maintain, and manage Terraform configurations for automated provisioning and management of AWS resources. o Implement best practices in version control, modularization, and reuse to ensure IaC maintainability and scalability.

Networking and Security:

• Design secure VPC architectures, subnets, routing, VPNs, and peering connections for multi-region and hybrid environments. o Manage security groups, network ACLs, and identity access management (IAM) to ensure a secure AWS environment.
• Compute, Storage, and Database Solutions: o Leverage AWS services like EC2, ECS Fargate, and Lambda for compute workloads, based on application needs.

Monitoring, Logging, and Alerting:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To study and familiarise with the whole development’s organisation, Site conditions, Conditions of Contract, Conditions of Sub-contract, M&E Specification/Drawings, Architectural, Interior, Structural and Specialist drawings, Coordination of M&E, Architectural, Interior, Structural and Specialist elements
• To carry out site supervision and inspection cords of all works done, including records of test inspections, status of work of the works including any off-site manufacturing as instructed by the consultant team so as to ensure that the installation works are constructed in compliance with the design intent, specification, working/approved drawings and quality of works required under the terms of the contract.
• To ensure timely submissions and check all drawings (including authority submission drawings and shop drawings)
• To monitor project progress of the works on site and at any off-site manufacturing facilities and report delays immediately.
• To provide standing supervision as and when directed by the consultant team.
• To maintain proper site records and updated daily res, safety, site diary, materials and equipment onsite, labour, dayworks, provisional quantities, etc.
• To check that the contractor executes preliminaries items.
• To check services routes and contractor’s setting out and report any deviations to the consultant team.
• To verify reports and monitor the progress of work on site, verify the contractors’ progress report and present the report to the DM (Development Manager) in such format that the progress payment claim by the contractor can be easily evaluated.
• To monitor all variations works as instructed or approved by consultant team.
• To attend site progress meetings/technical meetings/consultants’ meetings.
• To attend to contractor’s queries and co-ordinate works of main contractor and direct contractors.
• To inspect completed works and ensure works are carried out in accordance to statutory requirements
• To undertake any other duties related to the project including supervision of M&E works as and when instructed by the consultant team.
• To compile relevant equipment, material, inspection and test certificates submitted by the contractors and pass them to the DM as required for the project records and the clients’ hand-over package.
• To compile Punch List or Defect List with the contractors and ensure that the contractors carry out rectification work diligently to clear all defects during the Maintenance Period.
• To witness all the inspection, testing and commissioning sessions performed by the subcontractors to ensure compliance with designs and specifications.

JOB COMPETENCY (QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE)

• Possess at least a recognised Diploma/Nitec in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering/ Building
• Preferably Registered resident technical officer with IES / ACES
• Minimum 5 years of experience as RTO on local project, preferably with experience in Commercial projects
• A good team player and experience in assisting the consultant team / Resident Engineer in supervision

Job Description

• Recognized Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering acceptable for registration with the PE Board, Singapore.
• Accredited with IES/ACES with a valid Resident Technical Officer Practicing Certificate.
