Tescom Singapore is looking for a great Application Support Engineer

This is an attractive and rewarding opportunity for the role of application support engineer to join a team of support engineers to cover a collection of critical applications for a global user base.

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 application production support services.

• Analyse, and resolve incident tickets through a pre-defined workflow and ticketing tool.

• Meet service level agreements (SLAs) for response time and resolution time.

• Apply technical skills in .NET C#, SQL and JavaScript in resolving incident tickets.

• Able to work shifts.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience working in an application production support team.

• Minimum 2 years work experience in software development and coding in .NET, C#, SQL

and JavaScript.

• ITIL foundation certification (good to have)

POSITION SUMMARY

Involves the completion of administrative and/or operational tasks relating to the front-line operation which may include data entry, ramp activities, sort activities, trace activities, dispatch activities and local customer service.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the completion of defined processes and procedures to deadline, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant internal and external standards. Identifies anomalies as they arise and uses judgement based on rules and procedures to resolve. For complex issues, may escalate to senior team members.
• Performs defined procedures and processes with accuracy and completeness. Ensures time commitments and deadlines are met. Processes may include use of manual procedures or local or regional systems. Verifies data and completes procedural checks against predefined processes or criteria to ensure accuracy and quality. Uses appropriate tools and equipment as required. May make decisions relating to procedural checks, including situations where the outcome is not clearly indicated. Seeks support of senior team members as required. Provides feedback on processes and procedures proactively, making recommendations for continuous improvement to senior team members.
• Investigates and resolves problems or exception situations using systems or equipment, as appropriate. May act as the focal point for specific types of resolutions within the department and across other teams. Makes decisions based on clearly defined criteria and escalates others as appropriate to senior members. As required, evaluates options, escalates and gains approval for solutions that are outside of established parameters. Supports implementation of corrective actions.
• Uses appropriate communication methods to understand and share information with customers, team members including vendor staffs and other departments. Supports team members and other departments during process changes including participating in the development of appropriate Job Aids, procedures & on-the-job training materials. May deliver required training in accordance with defined standards.
• Validates or completes accurate and timely reporting. Supports/research relevant data and collates for analysis and interpretation. Prepares reports as required and may include recommendations for areas of improvement. Inputs data to company systems. Ensures accuracy of own and others’ data and completes checks of system to ensure data integrity is maintained.
• Ensures ongoing compliance with defined FedEx processes and procedures, relevant legislation and external regulations, and predefined agreements. Ensures required approvals are sought throughout processes. Notifies management of any non-compliance issues as they arise.
• Works closely with customer, team including vendor staffs and other departments to ensure accuracy of information and completion of processes to deadline. Also includes contact with customers, vendors or employees, to investigate or resolve issues as required. Aligns and gains commitment to actions from the different stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

You are responsible for supporting critical infrastructure services such as Active Directory, Secret and Identity Management, or Remote Access Systems, across on-premises and cloud, in a fast-paced environment.

The area of your responsibilities will include the following:

• Plan, design, install, configure, and administer critical infrastructure services such as Active Directory, Remote Access system, Secret and Identity Management system across on-premises and cloud.
• Perform regular system patching or upgrades to maintain product supportability.
• Prepare documentation and develop standard operating procedures.
• Serve as an escalation point for troubleshooting and issue resolution on 24x7 basis.
• Continuously automate system operation, enhance monitoring, malware detection and auto-recovery capability.
• Continuously improve system security posture, assess risks exposed by security vulnerabilities and carry out remediation by SLA.
• Continuously enhance system capability, design solutions to technical problems and implementation changes to existing systems or new system.
• Work with various teams in implementing integration solutions with Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, API Platform, Secret Management, etc.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of relevant work experience in designing, deploying, and managing Microsoft Active Directory.
• Technically competent in following technologies:Azure / AWS / GCP
  Azure AD / Microsoft Entra
  Microsoft ADFS
  Infrastructure as code such as Terraform, Ansible, Python or other automation languages
  DevSecOps practices Remote Access systems like Citrix, Microsoft RDS, Amazon Workspace or HashiCorp Boundary PKI, Secret Management or Vault solutionsIdentity and Access Management Systems/ Privileged Identity Management systems.
• Professional certification in Cloud, Security and/or similar credentials would be advantageous.
• The candidate may quote his/her previous work experiences and proficiencies in the following:
• Experience in language and applications frameworks such as Java Enterprise Edition, Spring, Hibernate, Angular or equivalent
• Relational Databases like DB2, SQL Server, Oracle
• Knowledge of Mainframe system, COBOL, CICS
• Ability to work beyond business hours and on weekends for work contingencies or for planned activities where necessary
