As a Technician under our Singapore Replenishment Centre, you will ensure all machines are running to ensure smooth day to day operations of the warehouse.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Support subject matter experts in manufacturing machines, and supporting systems in terms of troubleshooting, maintenance, and components repair.
• Support to improve equipment performance and efficiency by providing effective troubleshooting, maintenance, and engineering support.
• To ensure the quality compliance standard, Sort/Straighten/Shine/Standardize/Sustain (5S) and HSE compliance.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Nitec in Engineering or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience in engineering, technical or maintenance fields is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)/ Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and HSE practices is also a credit to consider.
• Based in Tanjung Penjuru (SRC).
• Able to commit to working 12-hour day shift (2-2-3 shift pattern)

Our client is a reputable developer in Singapore and has various developments in different parts of the globe. They are currently looking for a Building Technician to provide building and facility support at one of their developments.

Job Details:

• To perform routine/periodic building/facilities inspections, monitoring and checks with following up on the submission of checklist, report, defects list to the Manager as well as carrying out necessary rectification works.
• To perform installations, troubleshooting, preventive & corrective maintenance work on air-conditioning, mechanical ventilation systems and electrical systems – power & lighting, fire protection systems, building management systems, plumbing & sanitary systems;
• Attend to breakdowns, complaints/feedback, and tenant service calls on building services/facilities, perform relevant repair works and follow up with the submission of relevant service/maintenance reports to the Manager;
• Inspect, supervise and check on contractors and ensure that all maintenance, repair and replacement works and services undertaken by them are carried out properly and satisfactorily in accordance with the designated work scope and specifications;
• Supervise works carried out by contractors to ensure compliance with a method statement, risk assessment and workplace safety.
• Hands-on and able to carry out handyman and breakdown maintenance works (e.g. electrical, sanitary, plumbing, minor repairs etc.)
• To certify the completion of jobs undertaken by contractors.
• Check and keep stock of inventory and submit requests for purchases.
• Recommend improvements, cost savings measures, inventory control, etc.
• Attend to any other duties as and when required by the Manager

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate/NiTEC in Electrical and/or Mechanical or equivalent qualification
• at least 3 years of experience in building servicing
• Experience in commercial/mix development is most preferred
• Weekly rotating shift duties (3 shifts) - 7am to 4pm, 2pm to 11pm, 10.30pm to 7.30am
• 6 days work week
