Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience of working in broadcast television. Preferably with direct experience of working in an Outside Broadcast environment.
• Familiar with the operation and programming of Routers, Switchers, Tally Systems, Multiviewers, etc
• Familiar with the setup and integration of cameras, lenses, ccu’s etc.
• Experience with EVS equipment including LSM, X-File, X-Hub, IP Director
• Relevant engineering qualifications or a proven track record
• An understanding of radio, television, and the associated transmission and carrier systems.
• Understanding of computers, servers, IT systems and networks.
• A keen interest in broadcast technology, its development and application in the region.
• Knowledge of Cisco Switches and IP technology an advantage.

Knowledge and Skills

∙Tertiary Education in relevant fields is preferred.

∙Hands on experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD platform, such as Azure DevOps,

Git/Github or other related CI/CD tools.

∙Hands on experience in writing automation scripts for automated deployment for ETL

packages, database tables, and analytics programs using R and Python.

∙Hands on experience in design, implementation, administration and support of data platforms such as SQL and Aurora Postgres database.

Related certifications will be an advantage.

You will be responsible for repairing and servicing various equipment and engines (Cummins, Volvo, Perkins, Man, Caterpillar, and Deutz) as scheduled by the Service Manager. The individual will troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and electronic circuits, including generators and control panels, and identify necessary parts for quotations. Testing and commissioning of engines and generators are also required.
