Job Description:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of student academic matters, including secretarial services to the Institute Board of Academic and Examination.
• Deliver prompt and efficient support to the academic department, overseeing a variety of tasks such as managing admissions, maintaining student grades and records, evaluating grade reports, organising academic board meetings, and conducting statistical analysis and performance tracking for students and faculty.
• Support the Academic department by regularly collecting, analysing, and reporting data related to various student issues, including grades, academic performance, and graduation statistics.
• Provide regular reports on student enrollment and graduation data to senior management and university-wide committees.
• Ensure accurate recording of assessment methods and results for each module.
• Supply assessment reports and invigilator scheduling information to all Heads of Schools ("HOS").
• Liaise with the Academic Board Chairman and members on academic matters, including arranging Board of Examiners (BOE) meetings and recording minutes.
• Coordinate the signing of certificates by Academic Board members.
• Administer the issuance of academic transcripts and certificates.
• Assist with the authentication of photocopies of student transcripts and certificates.
• Perform any additional tasks as directed by the Vice President of Academic, and President

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience in academic administration or a similar capacity.
• Detail-oriented and accurate in handling data & documentation.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Ability to be operationally hands-on, proactive mindset, and committed to delivering results within stipulated timelines.

Responsibilities

• Handle closing of accounts and prepare full set of accounts within tight deadline
• Perform data entry of Purchasing Invoices, Receipts, Payments and Journal Entries in Dynamics 365 Business Central system
• Raise payment vouchers and journal vouchers for various disbursements for approval
• Handle travelling claims and billing issues
• Monthly monitoring of cashflows
• Perform bank reconciliation of all bank accounts for the companies
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register and ensure that the sub-ledger tie to the general ledger
• Raise debit/credit note to related parties for payments on their behalf
• Prepare and submit Quarterly GST, WHT
• Review proper transaction journals for closing of other entities within the group
• Assist and prepare relevant supporting for internal and external auditor
• Prepare annual budget report in Dynamics 365 Business Central system
• Liaise with external parties such as vendors, landlord, banks, auditor and relevant statutory/ regulatory authorities
• Handle compliance matters with MAS such as quarterly filing, assist in representative license application, response to MAS Queries and Surveys
• Assist in ad-hoc admin tasks
• Provide support in any other matters that the Management and the department/division head requires including ad-hoc projects etc.

Requirements

• Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent
• 3 years of full set of accounts experience
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Dynamics 365 Business Central knowledge will be advantageous
• Good working attitude (i.e. willing to learn, humble, easy to get along)
• Able to work independently and as a team

Responsibilities:

• The job-holder is responsible and accountable for accounting of customer collections e.g. preparation of billings to customers, creation of deposit records, GIRO payments from customers.
• Managing customer inquiries and exceptions e.g. waivers, refunds.
• Generating and dispatching customer statement of accounts.
• Preparation of Account Receivable reports, including Account Receivable aging report.
• Take on Account Receivable transformation projects that will be assigned in addition to the above job scope.
• The job-holder is expected to participate actively in the project planning and to achieve the project objective within tight timeline.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma (a diploma in Accounting or Finance will be an advantage)
• Prior experience in Account Receivable role will be an advantage
• Prior knowledge of/experience in using SAP will be an advantage
• Prior experience of working in a shared services environment will be an advantage.
• Prior knowledge and/or experience in computing science (automation) as well as project management skills will be an advantage.
