Responsibilities

• Handling full spectrum of corporate secretarial duties for our clients which includes but not limited to company incorporations, striking off of companies, preparation of directors' and shareholders' resolutions.
• Ensuring compliance in accordance to relevant statutory requirements, maintenance of statutory registers and submission of statutory returns.
• Handles ACRA Biz-filing requirements.
• Handling and managing a portfolio of clients.
• Provide guidance to Corporate Secretarial Assistant.
• Other adhoc duties as and when required

Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Business Administration or Law. Other qualification will be considered
• Prior experience in relevant field will be an advantage
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
• Proficiency in Mandarin required to liaise with Mandarin speaking clients
• Positive working attitude, pro-active, good team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Able to work under pressure

Training & Development

Job Descriptions:

1. Responsible for the full sets of financial statements for the subsidiary companies and ensure monthly financial reports and schedules the financial statements are prepared accurately and timely

2. Perform daily accounting and finance duties including AR, AP processes, GL, tax, and bank reconciliation

3. Prepare monthly cash flow projection, annual budget and ad-hoc forecast

4. Prepare statutory filings including financial statements and tax related (corporate and GST)

5. Liaise with the auditors to ensure timely completion of audit and preparation of audited financial statements

6. Ensure effective management and internal controls are in place

7. Any other assignments or duties assigned

Requirements:

1. Degree in Accounting with professional qualification preferred

2. Minimum 2-5 years working experience preferably in the real estate sector

3. Possess strong analytical skills, meticulous with high level of integrity

4. Able to multi-task, cope with urgent request and have worked in a fast pace environment

5. Proactive team player with a strong sense of responsibility, committed & possess a "can do" attitude

6. Good oral and written communications

7. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics (Navision) and Cognos will be an advantage

8. Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS)

9. Flexible, an inquisitive mind and keen to learn and pick up new finance work

Department Overview:

Nomura's Finance department oversees the company's financial operations and provides strategic guidance for business decision-making. Responsibilities:

• Managing teams responsible for Singapore country monthly, quarterly and annual reporting close, both Local (IFRS) and Group (USGAAP) and ongoing supervision of regulatory reporting and compliance.
• Supporting the hiring, developing and building a high-performance team of experts across the region.
• Managing the outsourcing engagement with inhouse service provider in India.
• Technical interpretation, advisory and implementation of Accounting Standards and regulatory requirements across the region.
• Leading key strategic initiatives for the region including a ledger implementation project.
• Managing the monthly and quarterly taxation reporting and completion of the annual tax returns (ECI and Final tax return).
• Overseeing Nomura International Funding and related issuance products.
• Managing the ongoing and annual audit process.
• Leading the implementation of process and control efficiencies.
• Maintain and enhance the overall control and governance framework.
• Represent Financial Control in local and regional strategic project initiatives.

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:

• Minimum 18 years of experience within Financial Institutions, or Big Four Audit Firms.
• Qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA or equivalent Accounting qualifications).
• Experience with US GAAP and IFRS reporting standards.
• Expert knowledge across financial and non-financial MAS and Basel regulatory reporting including MAS 1111, MAS 1003, MAS 1015 and final Basel 3 reporting requirements.
• Strong understanding of liquidity and interest rate risk in the banking book including experience developing and implementing governance models to manage risk and reporting.
• Experience managing offshore service centres around process control and outsourcing governance.
• Knowledge in regulatory regimes in Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Korea, India, Australia and Malaysia would be considered an asset.
• Demonstrated expertise in data management (e.g. Alteryx, BI Tools etc.).
• Must be able to work well under tight deadlines and handle multiple responsibilities.
• Expertise in Issuance Vehicles

Responsibilities

• Logistics matters ranging from scheduling, room booking (if applicable) and security coordination.
• Timely updates to participants on class schedules, venues, and changes to the course dates.
• Support in preparation and dissemination of all necessary materials (e.g. course materials, reports, attendance lists and end-of-survey link).
• Administration and collation of end-of-course results.
• Be a point-of contact to trainers, vendors, and participants for the smooth running of courses.
• Updating authority of upcoming courses.
• Prompt invoicing and payment to trainers and vendors.
• Updating of attendance into system
• Other ad hoc duties like proper e-filing of documents for audit purposes, handling of ad-hoc projects.
