Purpose of the position:

• Lead and responsible for all Logistics & Packaging services including forwarding and warehousing for SEAANZ region as well as support to India country cluster;
• Lead and responsible for all transportation modes incl. Ocean Freight, Air, Rail and Trucking for SEAANZ region as well as support to India country cluster;
• Responsible for project and program management for Logistic projects/program particularly for digital projects;
• Acting as go-to person for all Operational topics and questions related to logistics & packaging in SEAANZ region

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Procurement:

• Frequently analyze the internal spend profile for all assigned categories, e.g. Forwarding, Warehousing, Shipping, Air, and Trucking services
• Monitor market development and build up market intelligence to understand and maintain the main cost drivers for assigned key categories
• Refine and develop new Category Strategies for assigned key categories under responsibility
• Responsible for development of SEAANZ Logistics & Packaging Procurement Plan
• Source, tender, evaluate, negotiate and conclude the (framework) contracts with most favorable commercial Terms & Conditions
• Maintain and update the framework contract list
• Ensure all contracts are executed according to agreed contract terms, solve deviations and handle disputes
• Ensure the process of vendor pre-qualification, selection and evaluation is in place
• Continuously consolidate and optimize the vendor pool and update the Approved Vendor List
• Management of external logistic partners and off-site logistic flows, including Dangerous Goods and non-Dangerous Goods transport and warehousing
• Take the lead to develop and establish strategic partnership with critical vendors to continuously drive and improve the performance level
• Ensure all purchasing within assigned categories are done with the highest standards on professional ethics and in compliance with company Procurement policy and manual
• Drive the spend behavior towards to a situation with a majority of spend are covered by framework contracts and automatic PO’s
• Coordinate and support Global Category Managers to ensure the development and implementations of global contracts in the region
• Support the company Digitalization journey to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Procurement process and the way of working
• Contribute to Procurement target and KPI’s like savings and DtP improvement

Operational Procurement:

• Active involvement in managing operational situations with regards to logistics & packaging in SEAANZ region, e.g. day to day escalation from stakeholders on Ocean freight and Overseas tank Container, including space/equipment/invoicing/spot rates
• Developing, tracking and reporting key performance indicators of the key logistics vendors, and analyze, initiate and implement the improvement actions with the vendors on frequent basis
• Maintaining clear communication channels with other departments like Customer Service and Supply Chain as well as external vendors
• Maintain transportation module for logistics and packaging vendors in SAP system
• Creation of OA’s and issuance of PO’s in SAP system

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
• Preferred 5+ years’ experience in logistics and supply chain
• Fluent in English
