JOB SCOPE
You will be part of the Global Procurement Function – Sourcing Excellence Team.
The Sourcing Excellence Team is responsible for:
- developing and implementing the Strategic Sourcing and Sustainability related initiatives applied to our global Supply Chain;
- setting and leading Risk Management practices end-to-end;
- identifying and developing processes, procedures and best practices aimed to boost the Global Purchasing Function results and capabilities;
- driving the desired Digital Transformation of the Global Purchasing Function.
As a member of this team, this position will be:
- focused on managing social, governance and environmental responsibility findings with Natural Rubber Suppliers all along the Supply Chain;
- pivotal to set and execute the Natural Rubber Sustainability Strategy, Sourcing Transformation Initiatives, natural rubber-related Sustainability and Risk Management practices and metrics aligned with Pirelli Sustainability Policies and Roadmap as well as the evolving needs of the business, regulatory context and the key internal and external stakeholders;
- playing a key role in representing Pirelli in the sustainable natural rubber-related forums and associations.
This role will be based in Singapore
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
· Drive the Natural Rubber Sustainability Strategy definition and execution;
· Define and manage the best suited metrics and governance to assess the ESG performances, risks and opportunities out of Pirelli Natural Rubber Suppliers and Supply Chains;
· Contribute to ESG Risk Management and Due Diligence procedure continuous improvement and deployment;
· Lead the implementation of focused improvement programs that support Suppliers’ sustainable growth and grant compliance to the relevant regulations and laws;
· Engage with Raw Materials Procurement, Legal, Sustainability, Compliance and other cross-functional teams to set the Natural Rubber-related ESG goals and priorities;
· Promote and maintain solid relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders (including but not limited to GPSNR, ETRMA, National Associations of Natural Rubber);
· Foster a culture of sustainability and contribute to internal and external reporting and communications.
QUALIFICATION & BACKGROUND
· At least a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, sustainability, business management or engineering;
· 5 to 8 years’ work experience in sustainability and/or procurement roles in international/complex organizations;
· At least 2 years of subject matter experience in the natural rubber business (or similar industries) and expertise in social compliance, human rights and labor conditions, environmental and health and safety;
· Strong strategic vision and entrepreneurial mindset combined with both analytical skills and project management experience;
· Strong internal and external stakeholder management and ability to interact proficiently with all levels of the key functional stakeholders (e.g. Legal, Sustainability, Compliance, …);
· Ability to make sound decisions in complex situations as well as to work effectively under pressure;
· Strong sense of diplomacy;
· Effective written and oral communication;
· Fluency in English;
· Willingness and ability to travel as required.
