We’re searching for a qualified Associate Finance Manager to join us in providing a balanced combination of professional business management and financial planning. The ideal candidate shares our commitment to hold a strong grip and control over income, cash flow and expenditure. Also to carefully guide decision-making for business management,, tax minimization, risk management, budgeting, and other financial aspect. This position will be reporting to CEO and work closely with the FD to support 7 Aleph entity (SG/ID/MY/AU/VN/TH/PH).

Objectives of this role

  • Lead the finance team and be the key contact person from Finance to support daily operations of all business's finance function, with oversight of operations and HR.
  • Full end-to-end responsibility for accounting and financial-related work tasks.
  • Providing financial advice and proactive support to the management and business operation and be the trusted business advisor to the CEO/FD on all aspects of country forecast and business profitability
  • Support as finance business partners in implementing valuation models, measuring results, tracking performance vs. expectations, and providing recommendations for corrective action.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Finance team to ensure proficiency and effectiveness in managing the day-to-day operations of the Finance accounting functions (AP,AR,Bank,GL).
  • To ensure the reliability and accuracy of the financial data for local GAAP and Group (iFRS) preparation and completeness on monthly statutory, management and consolidated reporting including P&L activity (management fees, fee splitting, cost allocation, reclasses), balance sheet activity (deferrals, accruals), and accounts-receivable cash application are timely submitted according to the deadline
  • To support the team that develops financial and valuation models, material, and recommendations for executive decision-making by conducting comprehensive analyses and utilizing appropriate methods. Provide insights about spending trends, cost-savings initiatives, and margin opportunities
  • Working closely with the other Operations teams (locally and regionally) to ensure the accuracy of data, smooth operations, and timely escalations of issues to the FD/CM/CEO.
  • Analyze and communicate review of profit and loss accounts and balance sheeton monthly basis and accountable for the accuracy of the affiliate’s financial statements and follow up on open items and rectify any anomalies encountered.
  • Responsibility for the timely collection and tracking of all ages debtors, including the issuance of invoices, collection of cash, cast flow planning and maintaining client relationships
  • Coordinate strategic financial planning for the company, including expenses, income,cost minimizing, objectives, tax status, and risk tolerance
  • Maintain work flow process and finance related activities are as per internal policies and procedures established by the Group. Identify and suggest solutions in consultation with the management for continuous improvement opportunities in the areas of operation and business development.
  • Monitor banking activities of the organization and control all purchasing and payroll activity and ensure adequate cash flow to meet the organization's needs
  • Responsibility for the timely collection and tracking of all ages debtors, including the issuance of invoices, collection of cash, and maintaining client relationships
  • Liaison with auditor/tax consultant/company secretary for local statutory reporting
  • Identify, discuss and suggest solutions in consultation with the management for continuous improvement opportunities in the areas of operation
  • Fast, flexible and effective solutions to ad hoc business needs

Prerequisites

  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accountancy or relevant professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, MICPA, CIMA or partially qualified or currently pursuing professional examinations are encouraged to apply.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant working experiences.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and good time management is expected.
  • Experience in using Xero or similar online platform is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Independent, proactive, responsible,analytical,attention to details and able to multitask
  • Personal integrity and an ability to maintain the confidentiality of company and client information
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in accounting principles and practices; financial reporting, audit and taxation for Singapore.
