Role Overview
As a lead software engineer on the test infrastructure team, you will architect and implement the scalable media test infrastructure for video on demand and live sports streaming.
What You Will Do
- Architect and implement a media test framework to be used in encoding, streaming, and player development.
- Build the staging environment for ingestion, encoding, and streaming pipelines.
- Provide development and live streaming operation teams with automation tools, test UI, and reporting tools.
- Participate in software design reviews and influence developers to build testable software.
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in media software development.
- experience in developing automation tools and test frameworks.
- Experience in developing cloud infrastructure using AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in programming languages (JavaScript, Python, or Java) and query languages (SQL)
- Being able to look for solutions proactively and autonomously in uncertain and ambiguous environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with media playback development on the iOS, Android, or Web platforms.
- Understanding of AWS media technology, such as AWS Media Elemental or IVS.
- Understanding of Media Codecs and DRM such as AVC, HEVC, AV1, Widevine, and FairPlay.
