We are looking for a Finance Manager / Head of Finance to join our team! This role will report to our CEO/Founder. You will be responsible for managing the financial actions of the company including tracking cash flow, analysing strengths and weaknesses to propose corrective action plans when necessary and preparing accurate forecasts so that management can make informed decisions about future investments or cuts including setting up and tracking financial goals, objectives, and budgets. You will be expected to assess financial risks and opportunities as well as oversee and manage lower-level financial managers and the finance team as a whole.
Your main job responsibilities will include -
- Oversee and lead the entire finance, accounting and legal functions of the company, assuring legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitoring compliance with laws and regulations.
- Assisting with high-level decisions about policy and strategy.
- Review and oversee all existing processes (including documentations) within the group, propose and implement solutions / develop new processes to which are aligned with management goals and objectives.
- Oversee and manage streamlining of group structure with legal counsel with a view to achieve a clean structure for fund raising.
- Oversee and manage any fund-raising activity of the company including dealing with advisor, potential investors, and stakeholders.
- Manage and provide relevant support including structuring, strategy, and positioning for all target investment deals / projects.
- Overseeing the company’s fiscal activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing.
- Identifying and addressing financial risks and opportunities for the company.
- Supervising the financial reporting and budgeting team and reviewing financial reports for ways to reduce costs.
- Working well with the leadership team to develop effective strategic plans for the company.
We are looking for someone with at least 5 to 10 years’ experience in the real estate industry, hospitality industry, membership club, events or related industries. He/she will need to:
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager / Head of Finance or relevant role
- In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP)
- Ability to strategize and solve problems.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
- CPA / CA Singapore certification is a strong advantage.
- BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; MSc/MBA is a plus.
