Role Overview:
Firmus Metal International are building a global network of sustainable AI factories and will be scaling up its business operations significantly. As Firmus/SMC Senior Project & Engineering Manager, your primary focus will be to lead and manage the site engineering and project deliverables in accordance with the organisation objectives to support the company’s rapid expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex engineering projects: This could involve planning, budgeting, scheduling, risk management, resource allocation, and execution of projects from conception to completion.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance: You’ll be expected to have a deep understanding of engineering principles and best practices within your specific field. This knowledge will be used to guide project teams, solve technical problems, and ensure project deliverables meet quality and performance standards.
- Manage project teams and stakeholders: You’ll lead and motivate a team of engineers, technicians, and other professionals, fostering collaboration and ensuring effective communication between all project stakeholders.
- Negotiate contracts and manage budgets: You may be responsible for negotiating contracts with vendors and suppliers, as well as managing project budgets to ensure efficient and cost-effective project execution.
- Develop and implement project management methodologies: You may be responsible for establishing and implementing project management methodologies, including critical path analysis, risk management plans, and quality control procedures.
- Monitor project performance and report progress: You’ll track progress against defined goals and objectives, identify and address potential risks and issues, and provide regular progress reports to senior management.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies: You’ll need to stay informed about the latest advancements in your field and identify opportunities to implement new technologies that can improve project outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in a project management or engineering role, with a proven track record of success in leading complex projects.
- Strong technical skills and knowledge relevant to your specific engineering field.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to plan, budget, and manage projects effectively.
