Responsibilities:
- Conduct channel, category profitability analysis including price vs volume vs margin decisions to provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate promotional strategies and optimize profitability.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to provide recommendations for sales and marketing strategies.
- Monitor and report on sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Perform analysis on supply chain costs and efficiency, including inventory management, transportation, warehousing, and distribution expenses.
- Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive process improvement initiatives.
- Feasibility studies preparation, review and evaluation for new store openings and existing sites’ tenancy renewals.
- Prepare monthly management performance reports and business review packs.
- Liaise with internal and external functions to promote understanding of business performance.
- Collaborate with business units to develop annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Analyze financial performance against prior period, budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and recommendations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop financial models and tools to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Adhoc projects.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. CPA or CFA certification is a plus.
- Minimum 8 years experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role, preferably in a commercial finance capacity.
- Familiarity with the consumer goods industry and experience with budgeting and forecasting processes beneficial.
- Proficient in financial modelling, data analysis and good knowledge of Excel and financial software (e.g., PowerBI, SAP).
- Business acumen, strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Inquisitive nature and a strong desire to create value is desired.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
