Snapshot of Your Role
A key member of the site/country leadership team who is responsible for all aspects of finance and governance. This individual will be responsible to maintain partnerships with key stakeholders across the business, working closely with the client, a leading Global Tech company. This finance role is a site based independent / stand alone function with support extended from the local Compass Group Head Office. This role will report into and work closely with the Regional Finance Director for APAC who is also based in Singapore.
The great things you will be expected to do:
- Managing the day to day finance function of the Singapore business ensuring all reporting timelines are adhered to.
- Working closely with the Singapore Corporate Office during the month-end closing process to ensure all billing information, journal entries and balance sheet accounts are accurate & up to date
- Supporting the Operational team in monitoring and tracking spend for the month
- Maintaining a repository of all supporting documentation in an easily accessible manner
- Preparing monthly presentations- monthly performance against budget, forecasts with commentary and meaningful analysis
- Maintaining and updating Regional and Global Cost centers on a monthly basis for spend & expenditure versus budget & forecasts
- Supporting the yearly budgets, forecasts and ad-hoc assignments
- Preparing and being the point of contact for yearly internal audits
- Ensuring compliance with the commercial terms within the contract
Key skills & qualifications
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATION
- Accounting / Finance Degree - CPA, ACCA, CA, CFA Preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE
- No less than 5 years in an accounting / financial analysis / progressive finance role
ATTRIBUTES
- Possess critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Detail oriented, excellent organizational & time management skills.
- Able to work under pressure, managing multiple deadlines at the same time
- Deep understanding of accounting principles and applicability in the business environment - accounting entries, journals, balance sheet provisioning, month end reconciliations, true-ups
- High proficiency in using complex spreadsheets / Google sheets. Financial modeling experience will be an added advantage
- High proficiency in using powerpoint presentations / Google slides
- Hands-on approach to work, strong communication skills (English) and a quick learner. Flexible in meeting changing business needs.
