The Opportunity:
Adecco is partnering exclusively with one of our clients in the retail industry, we are seeking a suitable talent to join their business as an Assistant Merchandising Manager. The talent will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing sales, stock level, months to clear, and stock aging to make an appropriate recommendation at both the individual SKUs and the brand’s level. The successful talent will report to the Merchandising Manager and lead a team of 5-6 people.

The Job:
- Monitor, review, consolidate, and analyze of sales performance of product categories to maximize sales and manage inventory efficiently.
- Completing assortment analytics as inputs to develop seasonal category strategies and assortment plans designed by the Merchandising Manager.
- Monitor and analyze sales, stock level, months to clear, and stock aging to make an appropriate recommendation at both the individual SKUs and brand level.
- Achieving the key performance metrics for a product category.
- Plan and monitor purchases to align with regional guidelines.
- Ensure appropriate and effective merchandising standards are always maintained which include replenishment, consolidation, and proper SKU count available in stores.
- Monitor market competition, and purchases to date vs target purchases to proactively suggest and initiate corrective actions.
- Achieving the key performance metrics for a product category.
- Prepare and analyze weekly, monthly, and seasonal merchandising and buying reports to optimize sales, margin, and inventory management.
- Assist in managing and leading the Merchandising team.
The Talent:
- Diploma or Degree in Retail/Fashion/Business or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of managerial experience in retail operations and merchandising.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills, leadership abilities, and solid business acumen.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of retail math.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
