In this role, you will:
The role encompasses managing the Finance reporting process across Singapore Insurance Solanio project and supporting the Finance workstream.
The role holder is responsible to get involved in the financial and regulatory reporting, internal management information process, provide best practices and get involved with the Scheme of Transfer.
Engage and coordinate with multiple key stakeholders including Financial Controller, Head of Finance Integration, GFOC (off-shore team) and other finance functions to ensure the coverage of reporting requirements at met to the highest standard and within strict deadlines imposed by HSBC Head Office. Collaborate with Finance teams in remediation plans to ensure they remain robust and sustainable, and meet committed deadlines.

Key responsibilities include:
Financial Business Management – 1 position
- Provide guidance and support to the Financial and Regulatory reporting team on a wide ranging of issues
- Detailed understanding of the IFRS and regulatory reporting standards and to be able to apply this practically
- To deliver and embed processes to high standards and to be able to transfer the knowledge upon completion of the Scheme of Transfer.
- Collaborate with Group, Regional and other impacted stakeholders to implement processes to support embedding of FLOD (First Line of Defence) roles and responsibilities, including being involved in change initiatives.
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Background in Financial and Regulatory reporting
- Experience in a role involving Head Office reporting with an understanding of financial reporting and control processes. Experience with Saracen reporting tool would be an added advantage
- Understanding of the relevant internal risk management framework, including Operational risk policies, SOX framework and knowledge of regulatory environment in the financial services sector
- Ability to provide structure and solution to problematic areas, to challenge information presented, providing reasoned explanation to ensure that agreement is reached by both parties
