Finance Assistant Manager

The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting Singapore & Malaysia companies in overseeing full spectrum of accounts & financial reporting, budget and forecast planning and implementation of internal controls of the companies.


Job Responsibilities

  • Ability to perform full spectrum of Accounting & Finance duties.
  • Ability to maintain full set of Financial Statement and preferably with consolidation of subsidiaries experience.
  • Responsible for all aspects of financial reporting in accordance to Singapore & Malaysia Financial Reporting Standard (SFRS & MFRS).
  • To support monthly & quarterly group company package reporting & financial year end audit.
  • To support budget forecast & cashflow projection.
  • Monitor and ensure proper internal controls & processes are correctly implemented & reviewed periodically.
  • To support & liaise with external auditors for financial year end auditing.
  • Management of cash flow, Fixed Asset Register, credit control and receivables management.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of SST / GST & Corporate tax returns.
  • Liaise with bankers, auditors, tax agents and company appointed legal advisors for all statutory and regulatory requirements and compliance.
  • Support & submit periodically income tax returns & estimation filings.
  • Support and prepare project consolidation reports & accounting.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties & all statutory filings.

Skill and competencies requirement

  • Degree holder in Finance & Accounting or equivalent, at least 5 years of relevant experience in similar capacity.
  • Understanding of current tax regulations, IFRS & corporate governance requirements in Malaysia and Singapore.
  • Strong English proficiency in written & spoken communication. Preferably able to communicate & read in Malay.
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong work ethic – systematic and meticulous.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Analytical skill for solving difficult problems.
  • Team leadership.
