Job Summary:
Tanglin Trust School seeks to appoint a Gymnastics Coach who will work alongside our coaching team to help build our recreational program.
This is a coaching role that is focused on coaching and developing the recreational programme here at Tanglin Lions Gymnastics.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years in gymnastics coaching
- Minimum Level 1 or equivalent coaching qualification
- Previous experience of working with children in a coaching or teaching role
Key Responsibilities
1. Coaching
● The Gymnastics Coach will be responsible for coaching classes within the club gymnastics programme including but not limited to:
○ Infant and Junior CCA’s
○ Infant, Junior and Senior club
○ Gymnastics curriculum / sports morning
● Deliver fun, energetic and progressive classes suitable for all ages and abilities.
● Work with the Head of Recreational Gymnastics to give timely feedback to parents, and gymnasts in relation to their gymnastics progress.
● Follow all training plans and work closely with the Head of Recreational Gymnastics and other members of the gymnastics team.
● Create lesson plans, skill cards, termly goals in accordance with the programme set by the Head of Rec.
● Demonstrate the flexibility and adaptability to coach across the programme as required.
● Contribute to the planning and delivery of gymnastics camps as required by the programme.
● Ensure all classes are delivered in a safe and appropriate manner with the focus on talent development and the growth of the child.

● Adhere to at all times the Safeguarding and Child Protection policies in accordance with Tanglin Trust School.
● Operate according to the policies, procedures, and codes of practice relevant to the role.
2. Programme Development & Administration
● Work alongside and in support of the Head of Recreational Gymnastics to grow and develop the programme, including Infant and Junior CCA’s, Infant and Junior Club and Senior Club programmes.
● Contribute to the planning and organisation of the development pathway.
● Attend all coach education sessions to ensure personal development as a coach with our programme.
● Maintain effective communication with all parents, staff and coaches relevant to the programme through official lines of communication.
● Ensure registrations and attendance records are recorded daily and maintained.
