Project Planning and Execution:
Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of dike construction, revetment works, and earth moving activities.
Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, budgeting, and risk management strategies.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards.
Manage interfaces with other project departments including but not limited to civil, building, dredging, road and M&E works.
Team Leadership and Management:
Supervise and mentor project teams, including engineers, technicians, and construction personnel.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
Provide guidance and support to resolve technical challenges and ensure project objectives are met.
Stakeholder Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
Communicate project progress, milestones, and issues effectively to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment of expectations.
Collaborate with internal and external partners to address concerns, negotiate contracts, and facilitate project approvals.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Implement quality control measures to ensure construction activities meet industry standards and project specifications.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and contractual requirements.
Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance project efficiency and quality.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 10-15 years of proven experience in construction management, with a focus on land reclamation, polder construction, dike construction, revetment works, and earth moving projects. Experience in hydroseeding and grass maintenance required.
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office suite.
