Position Overview:
The Assistant Controller oversees the production of periodic financial reports and ensures that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards. This role involves leading a team to manage the Singapore entity's statutory reporting, audit, and taxation, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team to oversee all aspects of the Singapore entity, including statutory reporting, audit, and taxation.
- Ensure the accurate compilation, analysis, and reporting of accounting data and revenue. Prepare and review monthly and quarterly management reports.
- Formulate and oversee best accounting practices, finance framework, and processes to strengthen internal control and ensure compliance with all company transactions.
- Review GST submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditures (capex).
- Promote a working environment that supports Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting/finance within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in managing and driving month-end closing processes.
- Prior experience with Oracle systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with employees, management, and external agencies at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills in a problem-solving environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
