We are an International Reinsurance broker established for over four decades with a worldwide clientele base. As a reinsurance specialist, the company works on behalf of insurance companies to facilitate the placement of Treaty and Facultative reinsurance programs.
The company is regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and has subsidiary companies in Jakarta and Colombo.
We seek a full-time candidate to assist in the Finance & Administrative Department. Candidates with related working experience will have an advantage.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Maintain a full set of company’s account
- Review staff expense claims, operating expenses, and online Bank payment instructions
- Preparation of Trade Debtors and Creditors Control and Ageing Report reconciliation
- Preparation of Revaluation of Trade Debtors and Creditors, accrued brokerage income
- Reconciliation of monthly Related Parties transaction balances
- Preparation of monthly reports - Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet schedules
- Preparation of Bank Reconciliation (Local & Foreign currencies)
- Preparation of Cash-Flow Statement Analysis Report
- Handling cash-flow management of the company’s account and clients’ accounts (IBPA)
- Review and query of subsidiary company’s account, attend to subsidiary query
- Experience in Group Consolidation Accounts
- Prepare GST returns and ensure timely submission with IRAS, attend to IRAS query
- MAS Statutory Returns, and oversee regulatory compliance, liaise with MAS officials
- Prepare periodic budget and ad-hoc management reports
- Handle corporate taxation matters and liaise with tax agent
- Liaise with bank officers, corporate secretary, and other government officials
- Liaise with external auditors on annual statutory audit
- Assist in Contracts and Administration and Renewals including TOBA, KYC/CDD
- Assist in general office administration, HRM, and Corporate Secretarial duties as assigned
Requirements:
- University Degree in Accountancy from a respectable University or professional qualification, i.e. ACCA
- Must be conversant in the Companies Act, Insurance Act, PDPA, local taxation
- Minimum 3 years in handling a full set of accounts, and/or 3 years in auditing experience
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, i.e. Excel, Words, Pivot, v-lookup, etc.
- Possess strong communication, interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and initiative to learn
- Mature, responsible, able to work independently, and be a part of a team player
