  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and lead generation.
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of client needs and requirements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Negotiate and close business deals, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and potential areas for growth.
  • Analyze data to inform business strategies and decision-making processes.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on market conditions and business development activities.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute business strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for product or service enhancements based on market feedback and analysis.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing strategies and promotional activities.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or a related role.
  • Vast experience in African markets, with a deep understanding of regional dynamics and business practices.
  • At least 10 years of experience managing contracts for oil and gas projects and energy sectors.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and industry trends.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Fluent in Portuguese and French.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of motivation, integrity, and professionalism
