Our client is a renowned reinsurance company within the SEA region. They are currently on the lookout for a facultative underwriter within their ever growing facultative team.
Your new role
Below are some of the key responsibilities for the role;
- To ensure compliance with company guidelines in the underwriting of facultative business
- To analyze risks and its exposures for assessment of risk quality and insurance coverage including costing of risks and other related requirements
- To ensure proper administration of facultative business transacted including follow up actions for endorsement, registration in IT system and reporting.
- To provide advice on claims matters
- To co operate with other teams in th e pursuit of company targe
- To take on other assigned roles and responsibilities relevant to facultative reinsturance business
What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate, should have;
- Worked in the insurance/ reinsurance industry for more than 3 years as a Property Underwriter
- Work experience with regional responsibilities and good knowledge of markets
- Underwriting experience and market knowledge of Japan , Australia is an advantage
- Fluent English spoken and written is essential
- Japanese language would be an advantage
- Excellent oral and written communication with good negotiation skills
- Good interpersonal skills, approachable and a good team player
- ACII/FCII or e quivalent would be an advantage
