Workplace Safety Management
· To establish Safety & Health Management System (SHMS) on site
· To implement/maintain project and corporate SHMS on site
· Identify and assess risks arising from the workplace or work process
· Recommend and implement safe work procedure
· Implement measures to improved workplace safety performance
· Implement Company’s EHS policies and standards
· Comply with Statutory Requirements under MOM and NEA
· Participate in the corporate EHS Committee
· Conduct In–house training
· Plan and implement EHS plans, trainings, meetings and promotional programmes
· Conduct regular inspections at the workplace to identify hazards and risks, followed by recommending remedial and preventive measure
· Enforce EHS / OSH rules and regulations at the workplace
· Act as secretary for the WSH Committee; preside in the absence of committee chairman
· Investigate, handle, report and liaise with relevant parties for accidents or EHS non-compliance
Project Budget Control
· Implement effective safety provision to avoid re-work
· Achieve ZERO accident rate
· Prepare safety cost budget for approval
Technical Understanding
· Understands the Workplace Safety & Health Act & other regulatory requirements
· Ability to provide practical safety solution
Internal Audits for ISO integrated system [9001:2015 / 14001:2015 / 45001: 2018] certifications]
- Monitor the audit cycle programme to ensure it remains effective and up to-date
- Engage with continuous knowledge development regarding each certification’s requirements, recommended best practices, techniques and performance standards
- Produce and submit a full audit report on each audit undertaken
- Recommend appropriate changes as a result of the audit results where necessary
- Ensure any non-conformities are listed on the appropriate non-conformities log and corrective actions are assigned to the appropriate party
- Conduct follow up audits and checks to monitor non-conformities and ensure all action plan are completed
- Conduct induction training to new joiners on ISO Certifications
- Conduct regular meetings to identify and revised areas of improvement and undertake follow-up action
- Coordinate with each site PM and person in-charge of ISO as as to maintain the standards by visiting sites regularly
- Support each site for the ISO standards procedure
- Assist MR/DMR on the ISO manual Documents Review and update

· To lead WSH Coordinator/ Safety Supervisor to control & manage EHS issues

· To report to immediate supervisor of any non-conformance at the site
· To work closely with project teams in HTC & SPZ to ensure that Health and Safety on site is well taken care of
· Follow and maintain standard policies and procedures
Job Specifications
Minimum Educational Qualifications/ Experience required:
- Certificate of Registration with MOM as WSHO
- Relevant certificates holder such as Building Construction Supervisors Safety Course, Occupational First Aid Course and Safety Coordinator Course
- Min 3 year experience as a safety professional with responsibilities for developing and instituting Safety, Health & Environmental Management Systems
- Experience in Building/Construction/ Property industry would be an added advantage
- Be PC literate and particularly proficient in MS Office Applications including Excel, PowerPoint and Words, etc.
- Be a team player with good communication & interpersonal skills and capable of dealing people from different cultural and educational backgrounds
- Ability to work under least supervision
- Good organization skills
- Fluent in spoken & written English
- Ability to handle multi-tasks and work within deadlines
