Job Summary
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Systems Analyst for the enhancement and support of critical application systems.
Mandatory Skill-set
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology and related discipline;
- Has 8+ years of working experience, preferably in banking environment;
- Knowledge and experience of Windows and Citrix;
- Experience in troubleshooting, performance tuning of Windows and implementing/managing VCS clustering;
- Has strong infrastructure/technical background with knowledge on Open Systems platform;
- Experience in Windows Physical servers build and installation setup;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users;
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Desired Skill-set
- Scripting knowledge in Powershell Python and Perl to automate and avoid repetitive tasks;
- Certification in Windows;
- Experience in middleware (Connect Direct and SSH) and ability in supporting application setup in the Windows environment.
Responsibilities
- Work closely and collaborate with Application teams, Infrastructure SME’s and service providers to meet the project objectives and schedule, and address issues that arise in the project through timely escalation;
- Plan and lead OS upgrade / migration activities independently;
- Prepare and submit the necessary change requests and requisition for the deployment of infrastructure for the project, such as facility/VM request, IP/DNS/Hostname request, SAN requisition;
- Involved in deployment of infrastructure setup according to the Bank policies/standards and approved solution design, Complete DR readiness based on Bank Policy;
- Responsible for UAT Systems and Production GZ support ( 24*7 );
- Patch Management for all the platform systems. Addressing critical patches and deployment them with proper plan;
- Involved in EOS/EOL upgrades support;
- Respond to support emails, phone calls and alert notifications in a timely manner and complete all necessary follow-up and duty handover actions;
- Perform regular system reviews, work on pro-active performance tuning and resilience improvements.
