Job Description for Permanent AVP/VP - Accounting Control and HO Reporting
Position: AVP/VP - Accounting Control and HO Reporting
Industry: Banking
Salary: Up to $128,000 per annum
Main Responsibilities:
Accounting Close and Control:
- Perform accounting close and control activities, ensuring closing adjustments are addressed before the accounting period closure.
- Coordinate with support teams in Porto and India for accounting close and control processes.
- Liaise with stakeholders to address any breaks identified in accounting control, ensuring timely remediation.
Tax Reporting:
- Prepare and review tax computations and collaborate with tax agents for tax filing.
- Liaise with APAC Head of Tax or Head office for any tax-related matters.
Financial Reporting:
- Generate HO/Management reporting packages and fulfill other reporting requirements.
- Provide timely support to stakeholders on operational accounting matters and queries.
- Conduct analytical reviews and prepare/review presentation materials for monthly management meetings.
Statutory Reporting:
- Coordinate or oversee external audits.
- Finalize statutory reporting requirements.
Payment Approval:
- Validate staff claims and vendor payments.
Other Responsibilities:
- Contribute to projects and new product/new activity (NPNA) initiatives.
- Identify, streamline, and automate BAU processes to enhance efficiency.
- Troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Required Skills:
- Hold an accounting degree or professional qualification.
