Job Purpose and Impact
The Quality Control Technician will complete moderately complex analytical and laboratory testing in support of the food safety quality and operational teams. In this role, you will perform routine analysis of product testing and will check and monitor instrumentation performance, conduct tests and document results into databases and communicate test results.
Key Accountabilities
- Perform laboratory physical analysis on external manufacturing (EM) samples, e.g. SAG value, viscosity, Brix value, pH value etc.
- Ensure that Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and worksafety requirements are being followed.
- To liaise with regional EM Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory (FSQR) leader and relevant Cargill laboratory personnel with the sample arrangement, testing methods and analysis schedule.
- To ensure that test results are being recorded, maintained, and provided to EM FSQR leader timely.
- Prepare and maintain reagents and lab consumables needed for the analyses.
- Ensure good housekeeping and cleanliness of the laboratory.
- Responsible for the management of retention samples of EM products.
- Assist in the sampling of Environmental Monitoring Swabs and Water Monitoring according to schedule (Weekly/Monthly).
- Assist in the preparation of tools and consumables needed for Environmental Monitoring and Water Monitoring.
- Assist in the packing and labelling of Environmental/Water Monitoring samples to be sent to third party.
- Other ad-hoc FSQR tasks whenever necessary.
Qualifications
- Food Science/Science Discipline related background preferred.
- Prior Experience in working in Analytical/Microbiological Laboratories.
