Job Purpose
Reporting to Senior Manager, Finance Shared Services, this role will lead and manage a team of accountants and senior accounts officers to ensure effective delivery of Finance Shared Services operations to meet business needs of local (Singapore) operations. The role also entails optimising financial performance and driving continuous improvements in the implementation of accounting policies, procedures, business processes and internal controls.
Responsibilities
- Daily operational oversight of transaction processing for Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP)
- Direct the implementation of the Group’s accounting and financial control policies and practices
- Manage financial processes to plan for adequate cash and funding requirements across the Group
- Ensure good internal controls & segregation of duties are in place including compliance to the Group’s manuals, policies & local tax regulations
- Lead the continual review, improvement and streamlining of financial and management controls including new systems implementations and upgrades
- Maintain the SOPs and SAP manuals for AR and AP
- Manage information requests for annual statutory audits, group internal audits and respond to internal control issues arising.
- Oversee and review quarterly GST reporting and facilitates ACAP and post ACAP reviews.
- Provides support, training, mentoring, and development to reporting staff on an ongoing basis to address more complex issues/ exceptions/ continuous improvement initiatives/ leadership skills.
- Liaise with stakeholders where necessary in operational issue
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Chartered Accountant (CA) with minimum 5 years of relevant working experience
- Experience in streamlining processes and workflows, working with senior management and management of accounting teams, preferably with full end-to-end accounting and corporate reporting experience
- Experience delivering process change and process improvement projects
Skills
Technical skills include:
- Strong working knowledge of Singapore and International Financial Reporting Standards, GST guidelines and other regulatory requirements
- Working proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
