Senior Electronics Engineer (RF / Microwave)

Job Purpose

1. Key Role in R&D Team: Play a vital role in the R&D team by contributing to the design, development, and testing of advanced electronic systems. This role is essential for driving innovation and ensuring the seamless integration of hardware and software components to produce high-quality electronic products that meet market demands and customer expectations.
2. Comprehensive Scope: Involves tasks spanning R&D, software and hardware design, and test automation.

Job Roles & Responsibilities

1. Hardware Design:Design and develop electronic circuits, including selecting analog and digital components, microcontrollers, FPGAs, and baseband systems.
   Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and cost targets.
2. Software Development:Develop software solutions to interface with hardware components, create control algorithms, and implement signal processing functionalities.
   Proficiency in languages such as Python, C/C++, and Excel VBA to facilitate efficient communication between software and hardware systems.
3. GUI Development:Design and implement user-friendly graphical user interfaces (GUIs) to provide intuitive control and monitoring capabilities for electronic products.
   Ensure GUIs meet usability standards and enhance user experience.
4. Research and Innovation:Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in electronic design.
   Apply innovative thinking to enhance product features, performance, and reliability.
5. Prototyping and Testing:Build prototypes of electronic systems and perform thorough testing and debugging.
   Collaborate with test engineers to develop test plans and automation scripts to ensure product functionality and reliability.
6. Collaboration:Support RFQ on design services and effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical team members.
7. Documentation:Create comprehensive design documents, specifications, and technical reports to ensure clear communication of design decisions, rationale, and implementation details.

Qualification/Experience

• Educational Background: Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience: 5 - 10 years of experience in electronic design and development, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex electronic products from concept to production.
• Hardware Design: Extensive experience in hardware design, including schematic capture, PCB layout, component selection, and testing. Proficiency with design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, Cadence Allegro, or similar.
• Software Development: Strong background in software development using languages such as Python, C/C++, and Excel VBA. Demonstrated ability to create software interfaces for hardware control and equipment control.
• Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with microcontrollers, FPGAs, baseband systems, and signal processing algorithms. Experience in designing systems that integrate hardware and software components seamlessly.
• GUI Development: Proven expertise in developing user-friendly interfaces.
• Team Collaboration: Successful history of collaborating with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and test engineers, to achieve project goals and deliver high-quality electronic products.
• Test Automation: Familiarity with test automation frameworks and practices, experience in designing and developing test automation (GUI, equipment control, DUT control) with Excel VBA or Python to validate electronic systems (e.g., RF module).
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues related to electronic design, hardware-software integration, and system performance.
• Documentation: Experience in preparing comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and user manuals.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices related to electronic design and development.
