Group Finance Dept drives the strategic roadmap for the Bank’s financial systems and partners with stakeholders and Technology specialists to deliver solutions to support the growth of BANK. We aim to protect and enhance Group Finance value through optimizing the use of our systems and tools as we implement a controlled Finance architecture.
Group Finance under the Change Management organization structure.
Your key responsibilities include:
Gather and document user requirements
Assess functional impact of changes to Finance applications
Assess the user configuration setup required for application changes
Review functional design and ensure that business requirements are met
Responsible for end-to-end User Acceptance Testing activities such as:
define test approach, prepare test scripts and execute User Acceptance Test, analyse test results and ensure that reported issues are resolved
Transition project to production support teams with proper documentation and training
Provide support in resolving post implementation issues during warranty period
Job Requirements:
Degree in Accounting / Finance/ Business or its equivalent professional certificates
3 - 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a project setting within Banking / Financial Services Industry
Proven business analysis skills: experience in developing business requirements documents, test strategy and test scripts for User Acceptance Test is a plus
Strong proficiency in SQL
Good understanding of Data Architecture, Data Mapping and Data Warehousing
Analytical and has aptitude for system related work
Prior work experience as a business analyst with experiences gained in any of the following areas is a plus:
Regulatory Reporting, Basel 3, Trade Finance, IFRS9
Front-to-back projects for Trade Finance Products (Front Office <Trade Finance Systems> to Back Office < Regulatory Reporting Systems> Up stream vs Down stream systems)
Experienced and confident in dealing with various levels of management
Self-starter with resilience and resourcefulness
Possess strong organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Recruiter’s Comments on the Role (What the hiring team is looking for):
1. Experience in functional business analysis/software testing focused on downstream systems
2. Software testing (UAT) will be using SQL queries to pull data from the data warehouse therefore testing will be done on a basis of data comparison
3. Excel (Pivot Table, Vlookup etc.) is needed to organise financial data pulled using SQL
Experience in writing business requirement documentations
4. Experience in Writing Test strategy/Test Scripts
5. Experience in Data Mapping (Data from Upstream systems <for e.g. booking of trades> which data transported into ETL Layer for processing and lastly to downstream system. ETL process will be done based on Data Mapping Specs.
6. Data Warehousing and Architecture Concepts Knowledge
Intermediate BA Profile: 3 to 5 years BA experience in Banks / Financial Service Industry.

(2) Proven business analysis skills. Experience in developing business requirements documents, test strategy and test scripts for User Acceptance Test is a plus;
(3) Good understanding of Data Architecture, Data Mapping, Data Warehousing, and strong ability in querying and analyzing data;
(4) Prior BA experience in (a) IFRS 9; (b) Basel III; (c) Trade Finance a plus
