About the role
McConnell Dowell is seeking a qualified LEW for one of major civil infrastructure projects in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the efficient and effective coordination of all project electrical-related operations for the project.
- Adherence to the McConnell Dowell Integrated Management System and Project Execution Plan.
- Ensure that risk reduction controls are in place and regularly reviewed for safety, environmental and quality aspects of the project.
- To lead a team of electrical workers in carrying out works related to electrical installation, monthly inspection and certification of tools, DBs, switch gears, generators, plants & equipment, and any related electrical appliances.
- To work with the Safety Department to ensure all electrical tools, DBs, cables routing, and protection are safe and fit for use.
- Oversee construction site temporary electrical installation works for the project, including temporary site facilities (power, lighting, etc) and also temporary public facilities (e.g., footpaths) as necessary for the project works.
- Carry out monthly inspections of electrical tools and installations, both on his own and in conjunction with the Authorised Person(s) for installations that come under the Authorised Person(s).
- To lead a team of workers to carry out new temporary electrical site installation works and maintenance works from time to time, and coordinate with relevant Authorised Person(s) to ensure smooth and safe operation of the temporary electrical facilities.
- Requisition of minor materials and consumables as required.
- Utilisation of planned resources in an efficient manner.
- Promotion of a professional image of the Company’s operations and maintenance of a harmonious relationship with the Client and/or his/her representative in the execution of the contract.
- Any other duties as may be required by the Company.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will have;
- Must have a valid electrician certification with a minimum LEW grade of 7.
- Minimum five years of experience in a similar role, preferably with civil infrastructure projects.
- At a minimum, hold an Electrician certification (e.g., up to 45kVA for approved load certification). Candidates with Electrical Technician certification (e.g., up to 500kVA approved load for operation, or 150kVA for design) would be at an advantage.
- Able to commence work within short notice.
- Able to work alternate 6 days work week.
- Transport pickup at Bukit Batok MRT.
