RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs trouble-shooting and repair services for refrigerated containers.
- Repair service and installation of the refrigeration equipment (REEFER) on transport refrigerated trailers that haul food sea-going containers.
- Monitoring reefer settings, plugging and unplugging, and pre-trip inspections.
- Runs pre-trip inspection on all reefers per bookings and customers' requests.
- Liaise with staff at various levels to ensure accurate reporting on reefers and equipment maintenance & repairs.
- Supervise a team of reefer technicians to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior reefer technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures within the team.
- Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and protocols for reefer equipment.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to foster growth and improvement.
- Generate estimate of repair (EOR) for reefer units and provide detailed and timely reports to management and customers.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum NITEC/Diploma or its equivalent in Refrigeration / Electrical Engineering.
- Extensive experience working with refrigeration units, preferably in port / inland container depot or similar industry.
- Demonstrated ability to work on highly complex problems and thoroughly understanding of reefer container units or similar refrigeration units.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise and train a team of technicians.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with various levels of staff and customers.
- Ability to accurately estimate repair costs and prepare detailed reports.

8.00am – 5.00pm / 12.00pm
