Underwriter Energy, APAC
Responsibilities include:
- Evaluate and underwrite a profitable portfolio of upstream & downstream energy business, reviewing submissions & risk analysis.
- Interest and keen to hone existing skills but further expand knowledge into the power & renewable energy sector, working closely with the Power lead.
- As portfolio becomes more established, focus on business retention strategies.
- Tailor insurance policies using technical knowledge to meet internal appetite and work with our brokers and clients to offer specific solutions to meet client needs.
- Provide training, market presentations as required.
- Stay current with industry trends, market conditions and emerging risks within the energy sector to make informed underwriting decisions.
- Manage and optimize the performance of the renewable and power energy portfolio by optimizing risk selection, pricing and exposure management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers and other industry stakeholders, providing exceptional customer service and guidance throughout the process
- Collaborate with Claims and other key internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless claims process and assist in resolution of complex claims where required
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal underwriting guidelines and contribute to the overall risk management strategy of the organization.

- Bachelor’s Degree
