Profile Description:
The Principal Completions Specialist (Fab) interprets internal and external business challenges in the Completions (Fab) discipline. The role requires specialized depth and breadth of Completions (Fab) expertise.
Job Overview:
The Principal Completions Specialist (Fab) interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices. They will be tasked with solving complex Completions (Fab)-related problems and will work independently with minimal guidance. The Principal Completions Specialist (Fab) may lead functional teams or projects and is regarded as a Completions (Fab) specialist. As such, they must have in-depth expertise in Completions (Fab) and broad knowledge of the Completions (Fab) discipline within the Fabrication function.
Job Responsibility:
- Carry out Engineering review preparations and carry out onshore MC&HU preparations, including the development of procedures and activity task sheet for offshore hook-up.
- Participate in completions and hook up coordination meetings internally or with the Company for the entire scope of work.
- Own the mechanical completions and hook up scope of work.
- Review Project specific Scope of Work and other relevant information and specifications for Project Mechanical Completion execution.
- Request qualified Engineers and Supervisors to support Mechanical Completion execution.
- Request adequate Equipment, Tools, and consumables to be used during Mechanical Completion activities.
- Coordinate with the Fabrication Coordinator on schedules and potential cost impact.
- Coordinate with HSE Officers on Task Risk Assessment implementation.
- Request Manpower, materials, and Procedures.
- Prepare and identify Mechanical Completion Inspection and Test Records required in PIMS.
- Supervise Mechanical Completion, discipline engineers.
- Prepare execution plans and Mechanical Completion strategies.
- Prepare general procedures for implementation of Mechanical Completion-related activities.
- Allocate budget and estimated person-hours for Mechanical Completion-related activities.
- Define Systems Limits.
- Prepare Mechanical Completion Management System.
- Support and disseminate Engineering policies and Yard procedures and participate in any improvements .
- Support Division Engineering by providing input to the bid and historical data from the projects.
- Attend / provide training and provide feedback / improvement as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred.
- Twelve plus (12+) years of experience with Hook-up and commissioning activities for the offshore O&G industry with exposure to handling PIMS completion management system, punch list, preservation management, and handover process.
- Hook-up and commissioning activities with exposure in handling PIMS completion management system and coordination among various parties such as EPC, client, vendor, sub-cons, and Fabrication team to get system completions certificate and handover.
- Good presentation skills with exposure to offshore hook-ups and 3rd party interfaces.
- Strong, committed team player, sound engineering, multi-discipline mechanical completions, and hook-up knowledge.
- High standard of safe working practice, quality, and productivity, as well as compliance with the code of business conducts.
