Job Description
To lead the Mechanical team to provide a reliable and resilient M&E infrastructure to support Mediacorp’s Business operation. Manage all the M&E certifications such as green mark certification, fire certificate and etc.
Responsibililties
- Manage the M&E team for operating and maintaining the M&E system, including setting up SOP and training roadmaps for team, equipping the appropriate tools to ensure smooth operation and fast recovery.
- Motivate staff to get them upgraded to leverage on the new monitoring and control system to be proactive to fault recovery.
- Rationalize on the maintenance routines and requirement to ensure adequacy, determine inventory projections to ensure uptime repairs, implement corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance and predictive maintenance for the M&E system to ensure the system's reliability and resiliency meet the demanding business requirements.
- Manage the budget and ensure that the M&E system operates at the most reliable and efficient mode. Must be very familiar with the design of the M&E system in order to make sound decision in minimising system downtime.
- Scoping, sourcing and negotiating with M&E vendors to get the best value of the maintenance contracts.
- Manage the M&E contractors to ensure proper maintenance of the M&E facilities.
- Site Incident Controller (SIC) who will provide command & control of the emergency response incident scene and co-ordinate the activities of all emergency responders, providing support to SCDF for mitigation of the emergency situation and he will be assisted by Deputy SIC.
- Member of the Workplace Health and Safety committee to ensure safe working environment for all staff in Mediacorp.
- Manage all the M&E certification required by authorities such as green mark certification, fire certification and etc.
- Organize resources to provide technical support to all Mediacorp critical events and projects, both internal & external, ensuring that the events and projects were carried out without glitch with the most cost effective solution.
- Governor for cybersecurity for M&E to ensure the M&E systems meet the CII requirements.
- Manage all the projects to ensure they are within approved budget and meet the timelines.
Qualification
- At least 10 years of practical electrical and mechanical engineering experience in managing and implementing electrical & mechanical systems for critical facilities for telecom, broadcast or data centre buildings.
- At least 5 years supervisory experience in related field.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
