Scale Insights is a SaaS company that helps brand owners scale their business on the Amazon marketplace by automating their advertising campaigns using rule-based algorithms.
We are looking for an Accountant Assistant who is keen to be part of a fast-growing e-commerce software startup.
Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate data entry to ensure all transactions are properly recorded.
- Prepare tax invoices in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Verify the accuracy of invoices and supporting documents.
- Ensure supplier invoices meet the requirements for claiming input tax.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues with invoices.
- Prepare online banking fund transfers and payments.
- Compile and prepare monthly expense reports.
- Review staff claims to ensure they are justified and comply with company policy.
- Update monthly foreign currencies.
- Assist in GST reporting.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain and update fixed asset tagging and expense-off schedules.
- Maintain proper documentation filing and accurate accounting records.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Higher Nitec in Accounting, LCCI, Diploma in Accounting, or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role.
- Experience with foreign currency transactions preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience with Xero accounting software is an advantage
- Responsible, meticulous, and committed to meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
